Three nights is ideal for the town of what it could have...
Three nights is ideal for the town of what it could have offered. A few coffee shops, local produce artisanal & restaurants to do at night. Daytime to spend at a small waterfall, but need to visit Fazenda Pratinha (1,5 hours from Vale do Capão).
Buy honey and some liquor to gift.
Consider staying and exploring the cities of Mucugê and Lençois.

The access road can be a little tricky!
The access road can be a little tricky! It's a dirt road (unpaved). There is very little indication where the access road is! Google Maps is of no use!
But Igatu is absolutely charming!
If you want a place to relax, Igatu is just perfect!
There are several hiking trails!

A sweet town to walk around before and after a good hike.
A sweet town to walk around before and after a good hike. I stayed there for a total of 5 nights, two of them on the hike - leave a buffer of two nights after the hike in case (as happened to me) the departure is delayed due to bad weather. I recommend the three-day, two nights Vale do Patti hike, you can leave your bags at the hotel while away.

A little city from Bahia's Sertão heart with good infrastructure, pleasant climate (1,000 meters above from level sea), rich architecture, people educated and more and more nature within one week we are not able to get in all.

Beautiful place in the mountains.
Beautiful place in the mountains. Lots of possibilities for treking.
I really recommend Cachueira da Fumaça and centre of the city Caeté Açu.
I travelled by a car - the road was sometimes a little bit difficult to ride.

Very cute city with plenty of restaurants with great food. Very safe and people are friendly. Plenty of guided tours to chose from. Hikes are amazing. My husband and I took a hike by ourselves without a guide and it was fun too.

Very beautiful place very calm!
Very beautiful place very calm! And with very easy access to hikes around the area! I did the Fumaça waterfalls and it was amazing, easier than expected and the views were incredible! I did it solo, very easy hike but I do recommend having offline maps just in case. Hostels are a great way to meet fellow travelers.
