I think the canto léela is good place. But tha maintain en general es very but. The bongalong is nice. Is very natural and calm and quiet. But the service the staff is very very but. Is very difficult get dinner in the beach. The hotel would has something. Because is very complicated

The Pousada Praia Bela was the perfect getaway for us. Comfortable and clean. Great service from the staff and very friendly. The breakfast was excellent! The snacks and cocktails were well done! Massage was enjoyable and professional. The beach was very close. Easy to walk. The owners greeted all the guests each morning, made us feel very welcomed.

Ilheus is a small city.

Ilheus is a small city. The central district is walkable and very enjoyable. There is an area a few blocks from the hotel with food trucks, ice cream shops and music. There is a wonderful area a couple of blocks north of the hotel for children to play. There is a Brazilian Churrascaria a couple blocks west from the hotel that had a great buffet with salads and grilled meats. It is only open until 3pm. It was very convenient to have small restaurants in the hotel building. Try the chocolate factory and Bom Bom factory. The South beach has many bars and great seafood.

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels...

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels neglected, with many historical buildings falling into disrepair. It’s not particularly touristic—more functional than charming. That said, there are some good bars and restaurants, and the centrally located airport is convenient. The beaches, while decent, don’t compare to the stunning ones in the surrounding region. It’s worth a short stop for its historical significance, but the lack of restoration is disappointing.

Ilheus was always a sleepy town where one stopped on the way to somewhere else. Recently, however, it has invested a lot in improving its tourism infrastructure. Besides the beaches, the food and the music are also great.
