I recently had the most unforgettable stay at Pousada Astral in Ilha do Mel, and I cannot recommend this charming retreat highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, which set the tone for our entire visit. Mariana, our gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. Her attention to detail and her enthusiasm for sharing the beauty and tranquility of Ilha do Mel truly enhanced our experience. Mariana's local insights and recommendations were invaluable, making our stay not only comfortable but also enriching. Bruno, one of the servers, provided exemplary service throughout our stay. His attentiveness and friendliness made every meal a delightful experience. Bruno's dedication to ensuring we had everything we needed did not go unnoticed, and we greatly appreciated his kindness and professionalism. The culinary experience at Pousada Astral was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the incredibly talented chef. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh, local ingredients and inventive flavors. Dining at the pousada was a highlight of our stay, and we found ourselves eagerly anticipating each meal. Keity, another fantastic server, added to the exceptional service we received. Her cheerful demeanor and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel truly pampered. Keity’s ability to anticipate our needs and her commitment to making our stay perfect was remarkable. Special mention must be made of the wonderful ladies who prepared our breakfast each morning, particularly Elza. The breakfasts were a feast for both the eyes and the palate, with a variety of delicious options to start our day. Elza and her team’s warm smiles and culinary skills ensured that we began each day on a high note. Overall, our stay at Pousada Astral was a dream come true. Property is very close to the dock and staff met us at the boat to help with luggage. The included breakfast was great. We stayed in a Villa with plenty of room and privacy. Short walk to the cave and there were good restaurants close to the property. Staff was very quick to respond to questions using WhatsApp.

The view was absolutely amazing!! Also, the two ladies who greeted me were SO great. They were pleasant, helpful, and so kind. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. I would love to visit here again and stay at the Pousada Villa Verde.

- Very cozy room and friendly staff - Very comfortable bed and high quality sheets - Good breakfast - Attention is given to details on a level you don't see often when traveling (e.g. a lot of storage space and surfaces in bathroom)

Good location. There was no secure parking but the staff moved planters so we could park next to where they could watch our motorcycles. Good breakfast. The swimming pool is warm and nice.

Comfortable, recently refurbished room, great breakfast, location across the road from the sea and a short walk to centre, very pleasant and helpful staff.

Staff was outstanding, attentive, responsive, helpful. Food choice could have been better. Fruit, coffee selections were very good.
