"Belem is a beautiful place with lots of natural beauty to explore. During this visit I was able to hike in Utinga Park and go to a great restaurant on the Amazon in Il do Combu. I spent a lot of time at the two main malls and at the Estacos de Docas especially at Amazon Beer which has amazing foods. There are great Amazonian dishes to be found all over Belem. The people were friendly and I did not have any issues getting around either by walking or via uber."

"We spent a week in Manaus, with a few days south in the Amazon and one day north in Presidente Figueiredo. I don't think I'd travel here if it weren't for the Amazon. The city can be dangerous as night, and there isn't a lot of tourist areas - other than the theatre - I'd be comfortable being in at night. That said, the walk from the pier to the theatre is great -- lots of shops and local stands. Restaurants around the Teatro Amazonas are fantastic, and the vibe in square is pretty cool. People are friendly and not too pushy. The weather is unsurprisingly hot, we had high 30s in the 'winter.' The flight in and out of Manaus was easier than it is flying in other countries (UK and the US for example). Also everything is pretty cheap, especially if you're comfortable going a couple blocks out of the tourist strip. Highly recommend using it as a base to go on an Amazon tour. We did one day hike and one three-day eco lodge experience - which was the highlight of our two weeks in Brazil."

If you are going for business I feel the hotel is on the correct spot. You have all the govermental offices close by and you also have restaurants and shops in walking distance. If you are on holidays it is also a really nice location if you want to explore the city’s historic spots. The hotel is simple but has everything you need and the property is spotless clean. You can see and feel the love and dedication the staff put into maintaining the property. The staff was phenomenal! Breakfast was also fantastic! My top picks were the juices and tapioca. I would totally stay again and do recommend others to stay.

The property was very clean and modern! It also had an AC which was great! I also noticed that they had put my initials on the hangar which I thought was a very nice personal touch. Also the host is very responsive on WhatsApp, and made my check in very seamless! I’m also a big fan of the bathroom because of how modern it was. The bathroom comes with 1 soap and 2 shampoo packets. We had requested 2 more and the host was very responsive and delivered it to us within 10 minutes. The location great because you are very close to the city center, which has many restaurants and bars.

Increadible service, room and facility. Truely exceptional. My favorite hotel in Brasil. They make the bed twoce a day. The linens a.d pillows were exceptional. The tv was the biggest ive seen in a hotel room. The mini bar has 3 kinds of champagne. The rooftop restaurant had a dj, wagu beef, sushi, ceviche and tartare. I could live there.

Manaus and the Amazon are amazing!

Manaus and the Amazon are amazing! Nature continuously surprises you, and the food... Oh, the food is amazing! Banzeiro, Roseiral, and Caxiri are the best places for local and creative food, but anywhere will serve you a great, home-cooked meal with local ingredients. When selecting a tour agency, Amazon Private Tours offers the best guides, who are engaged in their communities and care for the environment. And English-speaking.

Very interesting city with amazing flavors and nature dive-in options. I loved trying different foods, all very fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed the tour to Cumbu island and the experiences we lived there. We loved the lush dense green we saw in Belem. People were very kind and helpful. The city has beautiful parks and the riverside area was pleasant. Very reasonably priced vacation.

Macapá is a city that does not offer many activities or fanfare, but it is an interesting place to visit because it is the "Center of the World" and in itself, it is something that makes you feel quite important that you are there "in the Center of the World." Something to remember! I do not regret having visited it; however, I doubt I would be back though. No complaints about the city and its people. They were all polite and helpful.

Nice village with wonderful beaches nearby.

Nice village with wonderful beaches nearby. The boat tours usually take the entire day and I really recommend taking them instead of staying in Alter if you do not have too much time. Alter is growing fast and a bit out of control, it is also the weekend place from the people from Santarém. During the week it is quiet and Ilha do Amor is not very crowded. Also do not miss the Carimbó!

There was a mix up at the Barrudada check in. I thought I reserved a room type online at Booking.com for 3 people but they said it was for 2. Also in Brazil they are very picky about the exact number of people in a room and no more than 3. The hotel check in process is very long also.

Manaus was a wonderful experience.

Manaus was a wonderful experience. The city is welcoming, with very hospitable people and unforgettable nature tours through the Amazon rivers, forest, floating communities, and local wildlife. I recommend booking tours with the agencies at Mercado Adolpho Lisboa, especially Dona Helena’s agency — just ask for her there. In the city, it is worth visiting INPA, MUSA, Mercado Adolpho Lisboa, and the Amazonas Theatre. For food, I recommend Roseiral and Banzeiro. I also really liked the Tupinambá floating restaurant, which you reach by boat from Marina do Davi, next to Ponta Negra. One important tip: only hire boatmen from the official cooperative. Some independent boatmen charge less, but they may not be as safe and may not have access to all floating restaurants and communities. Overall, Manaus is a beautiful, authentic, and unforgettable destination.

In January we found the town rather dead. In Campina where we stayed there are very few shops, many restaurants advertised on internet blogs or reviews had disappeared or were closed, opening hours did not match. Very contrasted town. The old center is dilapidated and empty, unsafe at night, the renovated parts are buzzing with life. Fantastic museums (Museum of Amazonas) and others, delicious local cuisine (never heard of it before but really quite a find)

We arrived early for our Amazon Adventure with Leticia Adventure. What a fabulous Amazon experience. Tomas adjusted his schedule so we could start a day early. He assisgned us Jonathan, a wonderful English speaking Indigenous guide. We stayed 2 nights in a typical, no frills cabin in Comunidad Rebicacon San Antonia de Cacao (parana). We spotted monkeys, caymen, red headed iguanas and saw and heard many birds. We wove a fan, left a note on bark, fished for pirana, learned about medicinal plants and wildlife. The morning birdsong provided total stress relief. We then took a 2 h boat ride to the artistic Puerto Narino where we saw 7 sloths and spent an hour watching pink dolphins play around us. We saw lion faced, squirrel, capucin monkeys and giant water lillies. We spent 6 h with an indigineous family weaving a protection bracelet, making paintings with local tree bark and native dyes, we danced, shot bow & arrow, blew blowgun darts and hiked the rainforest finding medicinal plants. A typical fish dinner followed by a shot of medicinal rum with herbs. We highly recommend Leticia Adventures for a true Amazon experience.
