Location was perfect for our purposes which is wine. The hostess is amazing and so knowledgeable. Our room was fantastic with two great views - vineyards and Lake Geneva. The restaurant is top notch.

The region is very nice with Lavaux Vineyard Terraces that one can enjoy both walking through or driving roads around with magnificent views. We stopped near a self-serving wine shop that had an open terrace even on a closed day, so we could enjoy some grape juice with a view. Highly recommended!

The village of Chexbres is neatly placed within the vineyards overlooking Lake Leman, with Evian in the distance. A few restaurants and coffee shops serve mainly the locals with English not widely spoken. A Co Op supermarket and convenience store also at hand. The train to Vevey is on hand to give access to main line trains toward Geneva and other destinations such as Montreux. In the summer months the local pool is available with children's pool and sand pit plus lanes for adults, also a on site restaurant/coffee shop.

We loved our stay at Fabienne’s beautiful studio!! The place was immaculate and every traveler’s need was thoughtfully provided. Fabienne is so kind and warm! She helped us with dinner reservations and gave us great tips on what to see and where to dine. She was also very flexible when we realized we made a booking error. Our stay there was among the best!

This is a home with world-class views, however, we were very disappointed because we'd come knowing it had a washer, but it was broken and the host said he couldn't fix it. He offered to let us leave early, but we washed in the sink even though we were 13 days into our European trip, and stayed but then the wi-fi stopped working, We could not watch TV or use our devices. We pleaded with the host to help get it fixed, but he said it was working when it was not, acting ike we were lying, We even tried a second wi-fi without success. We stayed overnight, but when it was clear he wasn't going to fix it, we departed with 3 days left on our stay. We have requested a partial refund of our visit, but the host refuses to compensate us,

Spectacular view of the Lake and local vineyards. Hotel offered free onsite parking, close to the train station and free travel pass on the trains to town. The room and bathroom are clean and welcoming.
Convenient restaurant next door with a fabulous menu.

Chexbres is a quiet rural town in the vineyards with stupendous views of the lake and mountains. It has several restaurants and we especially enjoyed good food and service at the Lion D'Or. The bakery is delightful for a coffee and a cake or Swiss chocolate. A short walk took us to the Spa at the Hotel Baron Tavernier- an excellent relaxing start to our holiday.
Prealpina is a 12 minute walk from the station but beware, it is mostly uphill! The town in built on the slopes of the lake so expect some good exercise! There are taxis available and public transport is Free with a travel card from the hotel. Trains and buses are included and the system which is very well served with frequent travel along the lake edge.
