For a change of pace we decided to start our Bernina Express Tour from Tiefencastel. We reserved this hotel and couldn’t have been more delighted! An extraordinarily nice hostess- such a warm welcome after such a long day of traveling! The Hotel Albula & Julier is classic historical hotel in a beautiful Swiss village. Our room was spacious with a sitting area overlooking the river. Very comfortable and cozy with lovely linens and the river singing to us. Everyone we encountered were exceptional and attentive in spite of how busy the place was. Our hostess reserved us a lovely spot in the dining room. The woodwork and atmosphere is exceptional and so is the food. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Swiss specialties plus an excellent game menu. We have added this one to our list of special places and are looking forward to returning and a longer stay!
