We stayed here only for the one night but it was amazing experience. The owner of this hotel is very nice and friendly, the view on the mountains is gorgeous and the diner was so big that I’ve barely finished my dish. The hotel itself looks like it had renovations pretty recently (no mold in the bathroom or any kind of dirt on the walls etc.) Our room was super clean and cozy. Wonderful.

We had had a wonderful stay at the Alphotel Biel-Kinzig. The hotel is renovated, the rooms are very clean with a wonderful view. The beds are comfortable and the showers are great (not always the case when you’re in the Alps!). There are great hiking routes with panoramic views and small restaurants along the way. Truly a hidden gem with very few tourists.

Lovely comfortable room with full length windows and a fantastic mountain view to wake up to. Beds and bowls had been left for our 2 dogs too so that was a nice touch. The breakfast was really good with tasty local produce and the lady on reception (who served us breakfast too as the reception was in the restaurant) was very friendly. Switzerland is never the cheapest place to go but we found our stay to be good value and we'd definitely like to return.

Do you really want to experience the authentic Swiss mountains, still covered in snow even in May, and wake up to absolutely stunning views right outside your window? If so, I highly recommend staying here for at least one night. Although it's a bit far from Interlaken, it's worth the time—this place offers a true taste of the Swiss countryside and breathtaking natural scenery. The owner was warm-hearted and kind. Having dinner here with a glass of wine or beer is another special experience you shouldn't miss. Some people say there's nothing to do outside—and that's true, apart from enjoying the peaceful and incredibly beautiful Swiss landscape. In my case, everything was just perfect!

Andermatt is a developing ski-town with investment from both Real Estate developers and Vail Ski Resorts. The ski infrastructure has seen significant investment over the last 4-5 years with upgraded lifts. The scenery is not as dramatic as some other alpine regions in height, but it has some charm and is easily navigated. A noticeable uplift in the volume of hotels & restaurants is expected across the next 3-5 years, which will bring some additional atmosphere to the evenings.

Nice hotel great views.

Nice hotel great views. Restaurant menu a bit limited/ Schnitzel a bit fry for my taste . My wife enjoyed her pork kebab. Service was OK but a bit too busy. Mountain view room great and lovely and fresh.. Reception Staff very helpful.

Quiet village situated centrally for access to stunning mountain scenery and impressive passes. No more than 90 minutes by car from Zurich airport and the same from Chur for Bernina and Glacier Expresses. 20 minutes from Andrematt and that it has to offer. Swiss rail station within walking distance

Long narrow drive up to Isenthal, not for the faint hearted. Basic accommodation with friendly staff and excellent location with mountain views. If you don't like pork your out of luck as the restaurant only served various tasty dishes of pork.

Nice place.

Nice place. I used it for an overnight stop, whilst continuing the next day to Italy. It is clean, price is right, nothing special. Price and quality match, people are friendly. I phoned in advance to check how to find it, the owner explained this to me clearly and in a friendly way. Not far from the highway, next morning I was in 10 minutes back on it.

A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas. Some of them requires bus/train ride to get to. The Epic pass doesn't include the train ride and some lifts close around 3:30. So plan well to make sure you can get back in time to take the lift down to the bottom.

One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. I truly adore this area and I think it's highly underrated.

The staff were very friendly.

The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. We plan to return with our children and their partners.

Cute little town with a detailed history.

Cute little town with a detailed history. Get a copy of the walking tour and/or check out the museum at the train station for more information about the tunnels and bridges. Göschenen is a great place to stay if skiing in Andermatt and you want to be away from the crowds. It’s a quick drive or train ride away.
