Everything! I travelled with my daughters and their friend to spend several days skiing around opening day in Verbier, and also in Zermatt, and what a delight! The staff made this trip exceptional - and helped me arrange so much (rentals, shopping, parking, dinner reservations, etc). The chalet itself is so quaint and beautiful. They have remodeled the rooms and mine was beautiful, with a balcony that overlooked the town and mountains. My daughters were in a “family room” which was perfect since they also had a friend along - they essentially had a suite - two bedrooms and a bathroom. Wonderful! The chalet/hotel has a WONDERFUL restaurant and chef. Breakfast was amazing, and dinners in the hotel after a day of skiing were so cozy and warm - we had fondue both nights, along with other traditional Swiss dishes. The location is perfect - The hotel is a couple blocks from the Medran lifts up the mountain for skiing, and two blocks from downtown shopping. Staying here reminded me of what family owned chalets much have been like long ago - where you are treated like family by the proprietor, and everyone wants you to feel welcomed and cared for. We loved all of it. There was even free parking next to the hotel. I can’t say enough about how nice the staff was to me and my family! The entire experience was so charming. We loved it!

My stay at Chalet d’Adrien was extraordinary from start to finish. The staff members were exceptionally gentle, attentive, and thoughtful, paying attention to every single detail throughout the stay. Service felt genuinely warm and highly professional, without ever being intrusive. The room was outstanding - beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with a stunning view that truly elevates the experience. It is the kind of room where you immediately feel at ease and well taken care of. Breakfast was excellent, with many high-quality options and a strong focus on freshness, including delicious freshly squeezed juices. Both lunch and dinner at the restaurant were also very good, making it easy to enjoy meals on-site without feeling the need to explore alternatives. The spa facilities were incredible, well maintained, and perfectly designed for relaxation. I also had one of the best massages I have ever experienced, delivered by Emilie, who was outstanding. At the reception, Carlos was exceptionally attentive and kind, always helpful and genuinely welcoming, which further elevated the overall experience. Five stars across the board. I will definitely come back.

First and foremost the host/general manager Sylvie and her team who are wonderful and carrying! The atmosphere in the hotel is like you are visiting your cousins in the mountains:) Warm, friendly and with a human touch. Free coffee and tea are not to be forgotten but if you ask our two kids, it's the free Haribos that are the best. Location of the hotel is absolutely great, just 3 minutes on foot to the Medran ski lift. Breakfast is great as well

Amazing, extensive skiing for intermediate to advanced...

Amazing, extensive skiing for intermediate to advanced skiers. We were blessed with incredible snow (although not much sunshine!). We enjoyed many delicious meals in the local restaurants. As we were there in half-term, it was necessary to make reservations in advance, but well worth it.

Champex, also called "Canada of Switzerland" is very nicely...

Champex, also called "Canada of Switzerland" is very nicely located at a small lake surrounded by greens and high mountains. There are a few hotels and restaurants. It offers a few opportunities for hiking, cycling, skiing etc. but cannot be compared to nearby Verbier or other famous alpine resorts. This has the benefit of quietness and closeness to nature but for adventourous people it may become boring after a few days. Former hotels have been converted into holiday residences, which suggests that Champex used to be a bit more vibrant formerly. It should have great opportunities to devlop into a center of soft-tourism if some investment in infrastructure and amenities was done.

Orsières is a good starting point for a wonderful vacation...

Orsières is a good starting point for a wonderful vacation in the surrounding Alps. At the train station a very comfortable hotel and an excellent local restaurant. Nice and comfortable driving to a Praz de Fort village, a unique hidden in the alps a small Val Ferret on the slopes and glacier of a Mont Fort and several hiking track to Italy and a famous TMB (tour du mont blank)

If you love nature, hate the crowds, and like hiking/mountaineering from dawn to dusk, Bourg St.Pierre is the perfect base for your adventures..a hidden gem, and one of the few last mountain heavens that haven't been hit by mass tourism

Great little village with close proximity to Verbier and the...

Great little village with close proximity to Verbier and the 4Vallées ski area and the train station with some direct connections to Geneva/ Geneva airport. A <10 min cable car runs between Le Châble to Verbier from early morning to 23.45 pm, so very well connected if you prefer après/dinner in Verbier. However, you do not need to go to Verbier for an après drink or dinner if you prefer a quieter environment - there are plenty of great options in Le Châble for both. I would always stay in Le Châble to ski the 4Vallées, we walked far less from/to train station and ski lift than if we had stayed in Verbier, and overall it was very comfortable and time efficient.

Good location for a skiing holiday. Lifts are well maintained and the slopes were varied and well kept. The skipass is expensive though. The village is very nice will all ammenuities. The restaurants were very good although quite pricy. Access from Geneva is easy. Note that we stayed during the week off school holidays so unsure how busy this place can get in peak season.

perfect situation, just beside the train station. you can catch your starting when you see the train from the lobby. And from the room's window the snow mountains come into my eyes. So beautiful.

Le Chable offers an affordable way to enjoy the best ski area in the Alps. It also has its own charm and feels much more friendly and inclusive compared to Verbier up the hill. The cable car offers a very easy way to get up the mountain and visit Verbier

Verbier is a beautiful chic resort.

Verbier is a beautiful chic resort. You can find everything you need there. The local people are super friendly and kind. It is a little on the expensive side however. As only two of us travelled it was easy enough to get a restaurant for dinner, however during busy periods it is worth booking in advance.

We took the train from Geneva airport, it's a lovely journey...

We took the train from Geneva airport, it's a lovely journey around Lake Geneva. Its very easy and relaxing with a change on to a local train to take you up the valley. We stayed there for 4 nights and skied each day. It's not a typical ski resort. It has all you might need, supermarket, pharmacy, boulangerie etc and a few bars and restaurants (no real late night stuff). We had some great food and bars were full of locals and a few skiers. Getting up to Verbier is simple with a lift that runs 05.15-23.45 and takes about 10 minutes. It is only 850m high so has a bottom of the valley vibe, I also imagine it would also be great for the summer.
