JapanIt’s close to the southern park entrance and is affordable. It’s very quiet. They have a lot of bathrooms and showers and a nice shelter where you can cook (if you bring your own cooking stove) and eat dinner. There is also an electric outlet there.

Robert was an excellent host, who also included me to hang out with some of his friends and family that were visiting him at the lodge. He arranged all my activities for me and was very flexible. Also the breakfast, lunch and dinner were great. It was more like visiting a friend than staying at a hotel.

Great location and nice views around.
Great location and nice views around. The hotel facilities are good, incl pool and spa and restaurant/bar. The breakfast is also included.
The hotel is just outside the national park and you are allowed to fly drones.
The only issue we had is that we booked two rooms for three people, one room is for two people and another one is for a single person. However, when we checked in, the hotel system only showed two rooms for two people, and we were asked to pay extra fees for the third person. After showing the three people booking evidence, the extra fees were waived. We didn't know where the problem was, in Booking.com or in the hotel system?

Cerro Castillo is a good compromise to stay to visit the...
Cerro Castillo is a good compromise to stay to visit the park (It's around 45 minutes drive to the Torres Del Paine NP). From Puerto Natales it's 1,5 hours drive and within the park there are only very expensive or very basic (and still expensive) options for staying.
You need a car (also in the NP) because of the distances and very limited shuttlebus options.

Very beautiful. Nice hiking. However, the park office has NO maps and there is no internet when in the park so using trails and navigating is difficult. You need a photo of a map on your phone.
Also, we had no idea the roads were so bad, had we known that we would’ve rented a different car other than a small economy car. The roads leading to the park and in the park and very bumpy gravel roads in bad shape. An SUV would be advised.
The park is beautiful with many beautiful overlooks and trails.

we thought we could stay in Puerto Natales and drive each day. We are glad that we instead choose to stay at this hotel.
Torres del Paine (TdP) is mind blowing beautiful. It is big park plan out your days in detail so that you are not racking up miles of driving.
