Our stay at Wen Jun was wonderful. The room was exactly as described in the reviews. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the metro station and close to various attractions that highlight the charming and historic side of the city. The hotel staff was incredible. Belle and Kimberly were always ready to help with accurate information and were exceptionally kind. Frank was also very helpful at all times. The stay was absolutely worth it!

Upon landing the hotel is accessible walking directly from the airport and directions are well indicated. The room was amazing, large, full of light, numerous amenities, stunning zen style decoration, slept so well. Restaurants around are so good and several of them, the pool looked stunning. Breakfast was so diverse. I could have easily stayed for several days and had a great stay!

It's a gem of a hotel. Right next to one of the best sights in Chengdu. Every detail is beautiful, thought through, interesting. Beds look like they're from a museum, but they're comfortable. Breakfast is abundant.

The hotel is simply beautiful. The reception hall on the top floor is magnificent. The room was big and beautifully decorated. All the rooms are on high floors, and the hotel is by the river, so you get a nice view everywhere. The breakfast was great, especially the noodles! Would recommend 100%!

One needs to give oneself a couple of days to adjust to the new place. At first, the city feels like a megapolis. But once we adjusted to it and got our bearings there is so much to discover and enjoy. I think we could easily spend two weeks, if not a whole month. One thing I will not recommend: going to see pandas... :( It is cheap - only about $8 - but it is overflowing with people, and I mean overflowing. Out of claimed 240 pandas, literally only 3 were - sort of - out, but they were behind small glass windows and there were throngs of people wanting to take photo. We left after about an hour of this "suffering". One thing I will highly recommend: the Chengdu Opera experience :) Loved it! And one must absolutely stop by Shukai Agricultural (in front of Xiaonan metro stop): the couple owners - great story - treated us with such hospitality and kindness, the food was excellent too. :)

I’ve had a long stopover and needed a place to rest and...

I’ve had a long stopover and needed a place to rest and sleep. Airport pickup was excellent, its short drive, checking was swift and I was in crispy clean sheets after a 10 hours of flight from Sydney. I had a great rest and shower, they drove me to airport for my next flight to Istanbul. I’ve arrived fresh and rested. Thanks to hotel staff🧿 it was excellent. I will be staying there again on my way back home to Australia again. I highly recommend.

Travelers should look for more comprehensive guides on Chengdu beyond just the popular tourist spots and dining recommendations, as info on platforms like Little Red Note isn't always accurate. Also, be aware that June is quite rainy for outdoor attractions outside the city; if you dislike crowds, you might want to avoid visiting during this month. Finally, there is a lack of information on the malls frequented by locals—having more insight into these would really help travelers shop more effectively and make better decisions

The places I enjoyed the most were: 1) The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding – the pandas were incredibly cute, and it was wonderful to see them in the beautiful bamboo forest setting. 2) Du Fu Thatched Cottage – a great place to appreciate traditional Chinese-style landscaping and gardens. 3) Mount Qingcheng – a beautiful and peaceful mountain with stunning natural scenery. $ Du Jiang Yan – the ancient irrigation system is impressive, and the village's night lights added a special charm to the visit.
