This was a fabulous hotel! From the moment we walked in and met Maeva until our departure, everything was wonderful. The room with the Terrace was awesome. Even though we were facing the parking lot side, since we were on the fourth floor, we just looked out to the trees. The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was great. Dinner at the restaurant was the best meal we’ve had during our two week trip around France. Maeva took us on a tour around the whole facility and then got us settled into our room. She is an absolute delight. She was nervous about speaking English to us, but her English was perfect. I hope her manager recognizes what a wonderful employee Maeva is.

We stayed here as part of honeymoon tour. The Hotel was located at the oldest street of Dinan. Upon entry we were given a map of Dinan to tour around. Our room was upgraded due to our request which is nice to have, and we were given a champagne in the room afterwards. It was a wonderful stay. It felt very homey..

Impressed from the arrival to departure. The hotel is beautifully located even taking into consideration that it adjoins a busy arterial route to and from Vannes, mentioned only to allay any fear of noise. It was quiet throughout the hotel with great care paid to soundproofing rooms giving such peace and quiet. Great attention paid to detail, no expense spared in quality of furnishings and design. Indeed an oasis of beauty, rarely surpassed. Matched one should add, to the appearance and dedication of the staff, all of whom were eager to address any requirement.

FAQs about hotels in Brittany

Like Travelling Back in Time

France’s most westerly region, Brittany boasts beautiful beaches, lush countryside and laidback towns with medieval castles and half-timbered buildings. The capital Rennes has the most oddly-angled of the latter alongside grand public buildings.

To the north, fishing village Cancale is famous for oysters, and the walled port town of St Malo has ferries to England, while Ireland is served by charming Roscoff. Between them lie many of Booking.com’s Brittany hotels by the beach, and the beautiful, pink granite cliffs near Perros-Guirec.

Inland, Morlaix’s cobbled streets and wood-clad houses are spectacularly dominated by a 19th-century viaduct. Dinan Castle overlooks the riverside town below, as does the incredible medieval castle in Fougères.

Facing the Crozon peninsular are Douarnenez with its pretty port, and the university town of Brest whose history is inextricably linked to the sea. Quimper to the south-west has a beautiful old town, and its river joins the sea at exclusive Benodet, home to one of southern Brittany’s sandy beaches. More are near Lorient, while Quiberon beach, on a rugged peninsular, is popular with locals.

Nearby Carnac has some of the prehistoric megaliths for which Brittany is known, while picturesque Auray is on a bend in a river opening into the Gulf of Morbihan whose undulating coastline continues to the colourful, walled city of Vannes.

2 story room with a balcony view. The olympic pool sized hot-tub spa with salt-water minerals is the best pool ive ever been in - and I own a pool and spa in Florida. Heated towel rack was nice to dry out our soaked socks from hiking 6 miles of the 6000 year old carnac alignment stones. Nearby ocean (10 min drive) has “the savage coast” with awesome powerful waves and scenic overviews, dotted also with ancient standing stones. Also, some of the standing stones and circles are open at night, which is a very spiritual time to walk there.

We had a wonderful short stay, tranquil away from the very busy tourist area which we appreciated, specially this summer. 😊The apartment and the grounds are well kept with complete amenities, they also have WiFi provided. This comes highly recommended. This is great for groups or families. It’s your “home away from home”.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️We met the lovely couple who owns it and they can speak English and French. Fabulous location right on the waterfront. To say that there is a sea view is a huge understatement. Breakfast wonderful and in a magical location again directly on the waterfront with the sound of the water lapping against the rocks. Direct access to the Claire du Lune promenade. Large comfortable room with air con. View faces East so setting sun lights up the opposite side of the Rance estuary which is lovely.

We have been coming to this hotel on the island of Bréhat for 40 years. It has been under several owners. The newest owners have completely renovated all of the rooms and it is delightful. Be sure to request a room with a balcony so you can watch the tide come in and out of the port. Also, we suggest you eat dinner and breakfast here. Both meals were extraordinarily good. Our compliments to the chef.

The property is amazing - I was travelling with my 5 year old and there was more to do then I had expected there is a major Dome waterpark style set up with wave pool and slides, there are several other outdoor pools a market and a really nice Chateaux that has country club vibes but it had one of the best meals I had during my stay in France. Definitely exceeded my expectations for the cost.

The public transport system is very good. Les Capucins and PAM are admirable examples of the transformation of industrial space into cultural and social centres. It's just a pity that there's so much 'tagging' to spoil the urban landscape.

Lots of medieval buildings and plenty of interesting places to visit, pretty winding streets,, lots of individual shops. The cathedral is magnificent. We were visiting mid-June and it was very quiet and relaxing; no problems with finding a table to have a lovely meal, we particularly liked one in Rue St Catherine (L'Identite), had some superb meals there. Enjoyed the Creperies too in Quimper, they are all good If you have a car there are some beautiful beaches within easy reach and ports to sample fresh caught sea-food,

If you stay near the port, most of what you want to see and do in Concarneau is right there, mostly within walking distance. There are many good restaurants and historic sites. Those interested in boats and sailing will love the place. The town has a laid-back atmosphere which is very pleasant. If you are a fan of the novels of Jean-Luc Bannalec (my purpose for visiting here), you will be pleased to see the many places mentioned in those novels, and others are easy day-trips away.
