The host sent a message at the day with the links to the instruction videos. In fact the videos were so helpful and we could easily find the key and get into the room without any problems. The location was really wonderful - we could enjoy the amazing mountain view and go to the bath on foot in 10 minutes.

We love this boutique hotel to pieces. It is not the first time we stayed here and it's definitely not gonna be the last. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We had a big room overlooking the main pedestrian street. The room was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed was very comfy. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities in the room. We also appreciated a lot the bar on the ground floor that served very good beer and very good flammkuchen until relatively late. Parking is very easy to find if one follows the hotel instructions. We positively regretted that we only booked one night.

The hotel is located on top of a hill on large grounds. It has a modernized interior and is kept spotlessly clean up to its very last corner. One still feels the Jesuit heritage; in fact, the order still owns the premises, but exploitation rights have been transferred to a social enterprise in Fribourg who also uses the place for seminars and to help people in difficulties. This secularization of purpose is also the reason the original "Notre-Dame de la route" was dropped from the name. I very much enjoyed the tranquility and peace that the compound exudes. There are no frills, but everything there is works to perfection. The continental breakfast is excellent, very fresh, on a wonderfully presented buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended; the hotel is within walking distance to the sports center.

Near all Bulle and Gruyères have to offer. Very close to train station so quite convenient. Restaurant on site so very practical. Good value. Very nice and helpful staff.

The room was super clean and the staff especially Ms Fatima who was at reservation was perfect. Breakfast was also very good.

The staff are wonderful, thoughtful, and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful building. The location is great. The city view from the room is amazing. The bed is comfortable, the shower and TV is great. We will definitely stay there next time.

Super helpful and kind staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported with our every request. Check-in and out was super easy (in the restaurant - there's no front desk), we actually were able to check-out and pay online with a link they'd sent once we arrived. Clean and comfortable room (ours even had a mini-fridge) in beautiful historic hotel in fantastic location in the heart of Gruyeres village. 2 min walk to castle and museums. Restaurant looked (and smelled!) wonderful though we didn't have time to dine there. Would absolutely stay again! Merci beaucoup to the whole team!
