The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)

We had a room on the road side of the hotel but it was so well soundproofed that we didn't hear any traffic noise and the bed was so comfortable that we both woke 90 minutes later than we normally do! Nice, fresh selection for the continental breakfast. Convenience of restaurant on site for dinner the previous evening.

Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

Breakfast was lovely, and the gentleman that served us every morning was the most kind and polite man. The hotel itself has lots of character. Also lady manager was very understanding when I mentioned that the room was quite small for both of us, she made it more comfortable by adding an extra bed in the room, as the double was quite small and soft for both of us to sleep in. Cannot fault the staff.

The accommodation is just a walk away from the water through the neighboring hotel grounds. We ate at the hotel, the food was amazing and really good value. Loved the Hamper left by the host so we had something we could snack on that evening and in the morning. Tea, coffee and milk was provided too. Didn't have time to try out the Roll top bath unfortunately, but the shower was amazing along with beautiful thick fluffy towels We had friends pop in and see us ,they were able to register as visitors at the hotel which meant they didn't have to pay parking, which I might add is a premium at the reservoirs parking areas.

We were here for the Rutland water open swimming event. Rutland has fantastic facilities for all water sports, there is even a licensed boat trip. Uppinham is a quiet little village, we ate at The Fox pub which provided excellent food.

I would rate this accommodation as 4.5 out of 5

I would rate this accommodation as 4.5 out of 5 Our room had a new en suite, could do with new beds as we found them soft. The hosts are excellent, and overall the facilities are excellent, shared tv lounge as well as tv in room, the only downside with North Luffenham is lack of EV charge point.

The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped.

The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Set in the grounds of a golf club with a bar and dining room. Set in quiet surroundings with lovely walks nearby and plenty of interesting places to visit. There are Nature reserves around Rutland Water with nesting Ospreys and hides to watch the water birds. Burghley House, NT, also nearby. Historic towns of Oakham and Stamford well worth a visit. Loved The Kings Head in Stamford and The Old Buttercross in Oakham. Both have good menus and cater for vegan and vegetarian. Oakham also has a Norman castle which is only a great hall but is very interesting and has a very nice tea room and free parking for 2 hours which is long enough. Also a museum but check if it’s open. Plenty of cute tea shops. We particularly liked Hungry Birds. It is set away from main roads so your iwn transport is essential.

A surprisingly spacious small cottage, extremely comfortable with a sizeable kitchen. It is situated in a quiet area with a pub only 200 metres away. Having a secure lawned garden, this property would suit solo visitors, couples and small families, and dogs are allowed. Although parking is on the road this was never a problem. The cottage is situated close to Rutland Water which is a 'must see' for visitors to the area. I thoroughly recommend this lovely little cottage.

Small market town, county town of Rutland.

Small market town, county town of Rutland. Independent shops as well as some big brands e.g. Boots, Timson's Lovely statue of the late queen with her corgis. Near railway station is a small thatched cottage, boasting that the smallest man lived in the smallest cottage in the smallest county, a few centuries ago. The railway station serves Birmingham New Street with Stansted Airport via Cambridge and Ely. There is a bus R! running roughly hourrly between Melton Mowbray and Corby. The bus stop is behind Home Bargains.
