We liked everything from the begging till last day. Really atmosphere of the 5-star hotel. Very friendly staff willing to help. The food is amazing and different every day. The cool thing you don't have to fight for sunbeds, there are always free places no matter what time you come to the beach. Very relaxed, quite atmosphere, mostly couples. If you want to chill and relax from big city a good place to be.

Oros Luxury Beach Resort is one of the finest resorts we've stayed at. Every corner of the property is beautifully designed, making exceptional use of the space while maintaining a sense of tranquility. The hospitality is outstanding. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It was especially impressive to see the resort director regularly walking the property, personally ensuring guests were having a perfect stay. He was immediately addressing issues when he spotted them. They shows the resort wants to improve. Our private pool room was amazing, and with multiple pools in the resort, an excellent gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi, and five outstanding restaurants, there was never a reason to leave the resort. The fitness area / Gym/ Indoor pool & Jacuzzi was the biggest highlight for me. Spend so much time training and then leaving refreshed again to enjoy the rest of the day, was just perfect. Incase you forgot to bring something, there is a pretty boutique inside (Rode - a beautiful store manager who guides you through the collection) and a super market at your resort for basic needs. Every day felt like a new experience - we even enjoyed watching the Portugal football match with fellow guests in the foyer, creating a wonderful sense of community. Very cool DJ at the Pool restuarent. Refreshing drinks! The Head Chef was present at the breakfast area, and he interacted with so much warmth, and even persoannly prepared eggs for us. Everything felt so personal. The entire staff at the Buffet was so helpful. Overall, Oros delivers luxury, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience. We will certainly be back! I highly recommend this place.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and took great care of us. The resort is super clean, and our suite was just beautiful and spacious with 2 full baths and great a/c. The food was wonderful in both the main dining area and the resort restaurants. I am an American fluent in Greek so I connected with the staff. They are really nice people. We were there in late July so I don't know if the resort was at full capacity or not, but there were plenty of chairs available on the beach, plenty of room on the pool decks and in the pools. The water park at the back of the resort was so much fun, too. If you don't want to walk to the beach (which seems far, but it's really not) you can go via golf cart. The staff is there to ensure you have and enjoyable stay, and we certainly did. Τα περασαμε πολη καλα, Happy!!

The hotel staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help. The facilities are fantastic — clean, well maintained, and very family-oriented. They even cooked fresh food for our baby every day and delivered it right on time with a smile! The food is excellent, and there’s a great variety of activities for both kids and adults. Having a supermarket inside the hotel is super convenient for last-minute needs like sunscreen or diapers. There’s also a car rental service and several tour operators on-site offering nice excursion packages. We loved the thoughtful touches, like the welcome basket with wine and fruits and the olive oil farewell gift. The bus to Chania stops right in front of the hotel, and the little train excursion to the lake is a perfect morning activity. The hotel app is also very useful — it has all the information you need for your stay.

We loved our gorgeous beautifully designed room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was well designed with great water pressure. The food was excellent. We really appreciated that the coffee was freshly brewed and served at the table and not self service from a machine. Truly enjoyed the abundance of fresh fruit. And the amazing desserts. The food was never overly salted but instead wonderfully seasoned. The staff at the restaurant were outstanding. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the beautiful landscaping and plush cushions on all the loungers. Loved that the beach loungers were free!

The staff were super friendly and helpful and very accommodating to our requests and needs. Fabulous surprise to get upgraded to the suites and later on to a presidential suite which made our stay unforgettable especially for our very active 3 year old who had more space to play. The variety and quality of food were exceptional. The beach is literally across the road and is pristine, equipped with comfortable bali beds, attended by a lifeguard and immaculate toilets and showers.

Location was good. Not far from the resort I stayed in three years ago. Easy access by bus from Heraklion. Nice beach access. Incidentally, the location was in Kavros. Lack of a party crowd was a good thing.

A great place for a different experience of Crete.

A great place for a different experience of Crete. When you are in Chania, its nice to experience something new, especially when you have been before. 1 hour direct bus from Chania. Small town Very nice views, river and harbour. Plenty of hiking trails. Lots of resturants to choose from. Several artisan shops. River water was cold, making sea water extremly refreshing. Sun rises can be watched.

The beach is not as nice as the one in Almyrida.

The beach is not as nice as the one in Almyrida. There was quite a lot of litter, and we had an unpleasant experience with a young lifeguard. He grabbed our son's arm quite forcefully, causing him pain, and then shouted at me. Our seven-year-old son was calmly swimming well within the designated swimming area, without going beyond the buoys, and the sea was completely calm. It seemed the lifeguard simply wasn't used to seeing a seven-year-old who could swim confidently on his own.

An authentic little Cretan resort with a family feel.

An authentic little Cretan resort with a family feel. Not too busy even in high season. Plenty of restaurant choices and a long (if not wide) sandy beach. Gently shelving, safe for children and a lifeguard on duty. Water sports available. Sunbeds with beachside service available down near Atlantis sports bar. Restaurants look over the beach right around the bay with plenty to choose from. Try Francoise Café for the BEST breakfast / brunch! Psaros and Elia & Thyme restaurants for something a bit special, Thalami for fish lovers (always excellent). Eritokritos and Dimitris perfect for families (traditional greek food (souvlaki etc). The Italian gelato will be a massive hit with the kids. Beware - you will ALWAYS overorder food :-) Taxi rank in the middle of the strip - you can have that raki at the end of your meal. Try the Cretan wine - it really is quality.

Plaka exceeded my expectations.

Plaka exceeded my expectations. At first we thought it was just a small village with a couple of restaurants and a shop which would have been fine, but the longer we stayed the more we enjoyed it - the properties are beautiful, the view is amazing, the local shop is very friendly and useful, the restaurants are very good and there's a lovely bohemian style bar. Generally the place is clean and pretty and not overcrowded or boisterous, perfect for young families, couples looking for a peaceful vacation or older people.

Amazingly friendly and helpful host. Spotless accommodation, great views, fantastic new shower. Home made biscuits were a really nice personal touch. Plenty of places to eat around the lake which is stunning.

Lovely village with everything you may need to have a great...

Lovely village with everything you may need to have a great holiday. Bakery,chemist ,local shops ,few tavernas and of course kafenion where locals meet.Very nice people ,authentic Greek village.Quite and relaxing.Parasia the best taverna in the area.Must be book in advance always full,very good food and very friendly staff.Lots of nice walk around the village.

Very beautiful and comfortable place.

Very beautiful and comfortable place. The reality is more beautiful than the pictures. Very generous and sweet hostess: greeted with gifts, patiently answered all questions, did not charge for a broken table. The kitchen was fully equipped. Washing machine. Hot water with good pressure. The beach with the footbridge in the village was very convenient for our son with a broken leg :). The food in tavernas was very tasty.

It's a lovely resort.

It's a lovely resort. Visited many times but never stayed before. Plenty of shops and bars but not enough tavernas! A lot of hotels have been built over the past few years ensuring more tourists but it was difficult finding a table in a taverna on an evening and we visited in September so I would say it's impossible in the height of the season. If you like the beach then Kalivaki Beach is a must for you. All sand and no pebbles ! The surrounding area is very scenic & can recommend going on one of the train rides through the local villages. An excellent day out!

Very quiet in mid April when I went.

Very quiet in mid April when I went. Places only started opening up the day I left on 21 April. Beautiful clean beaches and water but nothing else to do, so when the weather was bad it was a bit boring! Had to drive to find things to do.

Many taverniers to choose from to eat & drink, the beach & sea was amazing, friendly locals, variety of water activities if you want more , the views are breathtaking. We took pedlow out was a lot of fun We love it there
