A beautiful and tastefully decorated traditional family run hotel with genuine Greek hospitality. The owners provided us with so many tips what to do in the area and we had the best time. We were made to feel very welcome and absolutely enjoyed our stay. For breakfast home made treats were served in the super cosy reception area, our room had a lovely fire place and we had the best time. We would come back anytime

A quiet family run country Inn with traditional stonework architecture, pretty gardens for coffee and breakfast outdoors and friendly hosts. Experience the charm of this lovely Macedonian village. Well located and accessible from the main roads but far from the noisy tourist crowds-Hotel Ariadne is a comfortable place to stay while enjoying the many wonders of the Prespa Lake region.

Lovely place in nature. We loved staying there. It is quiet, and that’s exactly what we wanted. There was breakfast included in our booking, the rooms have a good size and we the Internet is great! Definitely recommended for anyone working abroad or not from The office !! We would choose this again.

Interesting town combine old and new architecture.

Interesting town combine old and new architecture. Walking thru several block with new houses and in a moment appears small street with old and ruined houses, full of history. A lot of places to visit, dozens of photos to make. One weekend is not enough to visit all part of this beautiful town.

This is probably the best location from where to explore the Prespa National Park. Old village with historical stone houses, huge part of it recently renovated. Impressively clean. Pure nature. Drinkable water everywhere around. Unpolluted air. Silence. Comfortable temperature in around 1,000 m ASL. View on the Prespa lake.

small village in western greece .

small village in western greece . Worth a visit just to see the old buildings , most of which are in bad shape . All people we spoke to were very polite and helpfull , even with the language diff . We got a feeling that as there is nill industry in the area , the people have not given up , but going by the upkeep within the town area has little of , they do not expect it to get any better

During the summer it's a little cooler up there and it is...

During the summer it's a little cooler up there and it is very close to a lot of the local Vileges if you wish to go and see them you can drive or as we did with a taxi. It's about the same as hiring a car. So it's up to you . There a Restorants in Nymtheio if you need to go out for lunch or dinner and view is fantastic.

We went to use Florina as a base for visiting Lake Prespa...

We went to use Florina as a base for visiting Lake Prespa and the national park. Ideal for that. Florina is very much a Greek working town and doesn't seem to do a lot for tourism. Tavernas were excellent although be aware many are shut on Mondays. Signage in the town could be better. We only found the centre by accident on our last night.

This town is a rare jewel. Nestled in the hills at 1350 m.

This town is a rare jewel. Nestled in the hills at 1350 m. It’s a sort of Brigadoon. You feel like you’ve stepped into another, gentler world. Cobble streets, flower boxes and elegant homes surrounded by forested hills.

Loved the lush green mountains. So picturesque! Amazing after coming from dry Thessaloniki and Athens. An author would have great inspiration to write a work of fiction. The walk from bus station was 5 mins along a scenic street with suitcase-friendly wide footpath to our hotel

I enjoyed the village itself - very small and picturesque.

I enjoyed the village itself - very small and picturesque. There are some nice walks around the village hills if the weather is good. The shops and cafes are often closed, but Enterne (our hotel) had a wonderful cafe bar and this was open at all times. One of the big attractions in the area is the Arktouros bear sanctuary; this is a wonderful Greek charity that has set up the sanctuary for rescued bears, and further down the mountain for wolves and lynxes. The village is a short driving distance to several wineries in the area which I would highly recommend including Alfa Estate and Karanikas.
