Exciting Holidays for Everyone

Surrounded by clear blue waters, Zakynthos (or Zante) is the 3rd largest island in the Ionian Sea, named after the son of Dardanus. This green island features mountain villages, fertile plains and gorgeous beaches.

Zakynthos was destroyed after the Great Earthquake of 1953 and rebuilt according to an anti-seismic code. Some of the buildings which were not damaged are St. Dionysios Cathedral, the National Bank and the church of St. Nicholas.

The island has one of the most famous Greek attractions - the spectacular Navagio Beach. Accessible only by boat, the 'Shipwreck' is an isolated beach with white pebbles and turquoise waters.

Set amongst olive groves and vineyards, the tourist resort of Tsilivi is full of traditional taverns and bars. Gloria Maris probably or most definitely has the best location on the island. I can guarantee you will experience the best most relaxing vacation in this hotel. Embedded into the landscape it serves you with an incredible view to the south (sunrise) and you can see the turtle island right up front. 🏝️ 🐢 We were in one of the private suites with a private (shared area) swimming pool for suite guests, which is an incredible infinity pool. The staff is so lovely and welcoming especially Jay (Most viby Bartender), Fanny (hope i spelled the name right haha) and Alex. You will find them down at the bar during the day next to the water. Speaking of water. The hotel has an exclusive access to the sea with wide and shallow water. Great for swimming and snorkeling! The food and drinks are super delicious. EVERYTHING! A BIG thank you to all the staff of this resort! Especially to Fofi! We booked here for our honeymoon and everything was simply magical. The views are incredible and the whole experience is beautiful. The staff is amazing and really friendly, they really care about their guests comfort and even if you face an issue they go above and beyond to solve it. The reception team are lovely and very very welcoming and helpful. Fofi is the best and she takes good care of everyone! Eldina and everyone else was also amazing. Laganas is a big party place, so even grown-up children will find enough fun and experience for themselves. We have been on several boat trips, they are very well organized, the travel agencies take you straight to the port and there is also organized transportation from the port to Laganas back. It was obvious that the locals do everything they can to make the tourists feel good, the locals are smiling and nice, most of them speak English.

As the main town on the island it has all the things you would normally expect (shops, churches, hotels, restaurants, banks etc) and with the harbour and ferry port it provides transit facilities for the rest of the island. The airport is nearby. There are plenty of cuisines on offer - lots of seafood and Italian style eateries. Also some quaint coffee shops on the waterfront. Some of the footpaths can be a challenge especially if you are pulling your suitcase along.

Tsivili is a perfect, peaceful and quiet area to stay in Zakynthos. We found a great, popular taverna and actually went there 4 times during our stay. There are many beaches, supermarkets, shops and also enough travel agencies offering tours, etc.

This is a small resort with no promenade for walks. It is full of family restaurants close to local hotels. Not many bars to visit. Food was excellent in every restaurant we visited. The resort was near to the airport and the bus journey to the main town is very short. This is a great family resort but beware there are no beach which is easy to access or visit. Swimming in the sea is good but you need to walk over stones for about 3 meters to reach sandy areas .

Very peaceful area with enough restaurants to choose from. A car would be a good idea if you want to see more of the area, as the bus service is four times per day and you may have a bit of a walk to find your nearest bus stop. Local small supermarkets are available, but if you have a car you may want to stock up in a larger one in the main town, as the prices can be higher than you are normally use to. Restaurants in the area were good value.

The restaurants and bars are very good.

The restaurants and bars are very good. The pubs would be even better if they sold pub grub,although that might effect the restaurant trade. The beach is beautiful unlike some places I've been. You can also spend time at the pool if you don't like the beach. It's also quite small and easy to get around.

The sea views are wonderful from various lookout sites. There are several restaurants all serving delightful Greek dishes. The Keri area is more calm and soothing than other parts of the island, so if a more lively party atmosphere is important to you, Keri would not meet your expectations.

It's a small village with just a few restaurants and 2 mini...

It's a small village with just a few restaurants and 2 mini markets, is a quiet and peaceful place, suitable for people who look relaxation and/or families with small children (there is shallow water for some 30 m from the shore). Renting a car is a good idea because, in the village, the bus comes only 3 times a day. The streets are very very very narrow, so be aware and drive slowly :) Enjoy your staying!
