From the moment we arrived at Zlatni Rat Beach Resort, we were completely captivated by its unbeatable location—just steps from the iconic Zlatni Rat Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and unique pebble shoreline. It truly doesn’t get better than this. The resort itself is thoughtfully designed for convenience and comfort. Parking is just seconds from the rooms, which are spotless, stylish, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and carefree stay. And the food? Absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’ll admit I was skeptical about hotel dining at first, but this is no ordinary hotel restaurant. It's a proper, high-quality restaurant connected to the resort—and honestly, one of the best around. I highly recommend trying the octopus salad—it's a standout dish. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Their warmth, humor, and dedication elevated our entire experience. At reception, Biljana, Dusan, and Miki were incredible—always available, helpful, and full of that genuine Balkan hospitality that makes you feel like family. In the restaurant, Josip, David, and Strahinja not only provided fantastic service but also brightened our days with laughter, generous touches, and spot-on recommendations. Honestly, it’s the people here who will bring me back. The building is beautiful, the beach is world-class, the food is delicious—but it’s the staff that made it unforgettable. If I had to find one downside? The mosquitoes—but even they couldn’t dampen such an amazing experience. PS: I read a review stating that there is a strong smell from the sewage which I did not feel as everything around us only smelled of lavenders, the sea and some great food.

The room was great, with beautiful sea views, and just few steps to the beach. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of meals to choose from. All the staff were very welcoming and always ready to assist. The location is in a quiet area, with central Supetar reachable in 15-20 mins walk for an enjoyable evening meal. During the day, there are bar and restaurant facilities within the Labranda Velaris Resort, and there is a small supermarket nearby.

You can't really do much there except swim in the waters.

You can't really do much there except swim in the waters. And wind surf if you are into that. The water is probably the best in the world. The food exceeded my expectations, but it wasn't cheap but I guess that's fair. They only have income on that island during the summer. Last time I will go south like this for summer vacay - far too hot. We had 36+ for many days. Above my limit. Very good and service minded people for the most part, especially on Brac.

Finding a reliable source for the ferry schedules was tricky- we never knew for sure what comapny was coming when, but staying on the island was the best decision of the trip. Supetar is the closest ferry stop- only 20 min ride, and when you stay on the island, you miss the crazy tourist crowds in Split, because they are coming for the day and leaving the island at night. We took a day trip to the main land and stayed on the island so the biggest ferry crowds were always traveling opposite of us.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at an incredible villa a couple blocks from water and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful, quaint, and relaxing environments we've ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful surroundings and the charm of the location—it felt like a true escape from the everyday. A true hidden gem that I almost didn't want to write a review about so I can keep it to my self! Favorite pizza was at Hotel Lipa and our favorite meal was at Dvor. You don't need a car here, super easy to walk, hike, bike or taxi around.

I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, beautiful scenery, and genuine Croatian hospitality. I would be delighted to return again in the future. One of the hotel's greatest advantages is its perfect location. It is situated right in the heart of the beautiful village of Pučišća, on the shore of a picturesque bay. We were happy that Povlja has a variety of beaches: city, bay, peninsula-top, secluded bay. We discovered real interesting things locally: the famous early Christian basilica, the viewpoint overlooking the entire bay, an abandoned war bunker on a nearby beach, the somersaults and head-jumps of local youth in the harbor in the evenings. There are also several restaurants and ice cream parlors. We ate excellent pizza and squid with tartar sauce.

I spent ten awesome days in Bol with two teenage kids.

I spent ten awesome days in Bol with two teenage kids. We spent most of our time on the various beaches around the town, or in the pool at our apartment. The weather (this was in August) was really really hot so the uphill walk back to our apartment every day was pretty punishing, but that was the only drawback. We ate a lot of decent pizza but I struggled to find good quality coffee anywhere. Service was almost always very good, and prices were generally fine but I ended up spending way more than I thought I would. One of the best things we did was hiring electric mountain bikes and zooming off along the coast to an out of town beach. We also all got beachfront massages on Zlatni Rat - highly recommended. This was in ultra high season and full of people, but this only affected one or two restaurant visits where the staff and systems were obviously overloaded. Otherwise there's plenty of room for everyone and the locals are friendly and happy to help.
