Nice and clean room, the bed was comfortable, even had USB-C PD chargers built in. The bathroom was also exceptional. We had a nice breakfast. All this for a reasonable price. Staff was super friendly, arranged our very late checkin without an issue.

Mainly the place is wonderful for us we live the outdoor hicking fishing etc... But the best host is Simon he was so busy, short because two staff were sick operation, but he took his time to embrace everyone good by!! During our few days there he was very attentive and always making sure the guest were having a good time at his place.. We are retired couple my husband From California and me from Costa Rica traveling the world.. Highly recommend it Hotel Kovac

A luxurious, small, and peaceful hotel conveniently located close to the highway. The host and staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and truly professional. Everything exceeded our expectations. The surroundings are beautiful, making it one of the best places we have ever visited. There is a small private parking area, but it is spacious enough for larger cars and accommodates all guests comfortably. The facilities were spotless and very thoughtfully designed. The restaurant was outstanding — professional service, delicious food, and an excellent breakfast. The massages were also performed professionally and were offered at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be coming back.

The front desk staff are THE BEST! They helped me with a million questions, were so kind and welcoming every time I stopped by, and we're just overall some of the best, most welcoming hotel staff I've ever interacted with! The hotel itself has lovely old charm and is ornate and gorgeous, but the rooms are still modern and updated. I was in a room by the elevator but didn't even notice the noise. I had a delightful view onto the courtyard. The spa and wellness area is fantastic with many different options, both for pools and for services. I was able to book 2 services at the last minute, and they were lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. A great buffet with a variety of selections. I was just sad I'm not very hungry in the mornings so I couldn't eat more.

The room was very spacious, clean, modern and we felt like at home. The bathroom was very nice, beautifully designed and warm. They were changing our towels regularly even when we didn't put them on the floor. Plus, all the towels and linen smelled amazing. We visited in December and the owner made sure our room was already nice and warm when we arrived, which is a huge plus. The staff was always kind and helpful, their coffee is delicious and we could also use the sauna. There is also a nice balcony. It was a very pleasant experience.

A perfect spot for whatever one wants - relaxation, sports, good food&drinks ... The staff is so kind but not intruding, whatever we needed was helped with in seconds! My 6 year old is in love with this place, as are we! Sebastjan and his wife made fire for the kids in the evening so they could roast marshmallows! The breakfast is delicious! The pool is amazing ...and who still offers free sups and canues at Kolpa ...highly recommended :)

Very polite staff. The dinner was very delicious. Maybe one of the hotel's with the best gastronomy in Europe. Free private parking. Rooms are very big, clean and better then more hotel's with 5 stars. Private SPA on the fifth floor is perfect for couples. Big recommendations for this hotel.

A typical provincial town.

A typical provincial town. One or even two huge shopping centers at the entrance to the town. The medieval town center is more or less separated from the rest of the town by a river; there are practically two parts and two speeds in terms of life, traffic, stores and gastronomy. You can do or get almost everything in Novo Mesto.

I’ve visited Kocevje each time I come to Slovenia, because...

I’ve visited Kocevje each time I come to Slovenia, because it’s where my grandparents were born. Over the last 12 years, Kocevje and neighboring Ribinica have really come into their own with the promotion of outdoor activities - biking, hiking, etc. So much more materials and support for those active vacations. And a whole lot less traffic (and ridiculously steep hills!) than in other parts of Slovenia! And you don’t fight crowds all the time. Quite a few options required prior contact with the business / director / owner of a museum, or tour option, but if you plan ahead there’s so much to do. And now, a train station!

10/10 - Small, quaint, historic building with large deck overlooking a beautiful small stream that flows through the center of town. Staff very attentive, works hard to make everything perfect. If you want the perfect weekend getaway, this is the perfect option vs a large chain hotel. Much more of a bed & breakfast type atmosphere, with a small charming restaurant/bar. Staff speaks good english. ATM located just across the street. Two blocks from a large spa. If traveling in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Dragatuš is a beautiful, peaceful settlement near the town...

Dragatuš is a beautiful, peaceful settlement near the town of Črnomelj in the Bela Krajina. It is surrounded by cultivated fields and beautiful nature all around. The people there are friendly and hospitable. Excellent local food. Nearby is a nature reserve worth a hike on foot or by bike. Extremely suitable for children, even younger ones.

Kočevje offers many attractions as well as opportunities for leisure and sports activities. There's a well-maintained MTB trail park, numerous hiking trails, and the option to swim in the lake. The town also has a few good restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine. A truly pleasant place with very friendly people
