United StatesSuch an adorable little hotel on the lake. Everything about my stay was perfect. Loved the little decorative details in the room, the bathroom amenities, the views of the lake, and the free breakfast. I had such a good sleep - the bed was so comfy and the room silent. Additionally the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, ordering me a taxi to get back to the train station and coming to my room personally to wake me up.

As always we had an awesome stay! This was the second time we spent NYE here, love this place (had visited during the summer months too). Excellent location, view, rooms. Close to restaurants and Tata castle yet in the heart of nature.
Breakfast was great as usual, great variety and yummy. Tímea is the best, super welcoming, friendly and accommodating- we love her and the entire staff.
Our dog had a fab time as well 😁

I loved the area by the lake, the restaurant in front of the hotel, parking and the forest nearby. The only thing I did not like was the added tax on my payment for each day I was there. It was too much. I was thinking of bringing my whole family about 7 people next year but the tax on each day and each person would be too much money.

The facilities are modern, clean and well appointed. It was a perfect place to stay as we continued on our bike trip. We all enjoyed the large waterpark and saunas.
The meals were quite good. We particularly appreciated that the resort provided both dinner and breakfast.

Esztergom is a beautiful historical town.
Esztergom is a beautiful historical town. People are friendly here, as in most of Hungary. Excellent shopping and dining options. Sometimes there is a problem with parking down in the city. Very good parking options around the basilica.

Love Tata and the small restaurants on the road to the hotel. The Italian restaurant next to the hotel was a disaster. I stopped for a late night dinner about 8:30 to the Italian Restaurant. First my american phone only worked with WiFi. As I waited for my food Chicken Grilled I asked my waitress for the wifi code. She answered she did not know it. Second, when my chicken and french fries arrived, I asked for ketchup for the fries. Waitress responded we have no ketchup. I said No american will eat here without ketchup on french fries. She replied This is not an American restaurant. She brought me a bowl of tomato sauce. Third, when I paid my bill, I was short on my change, about 3 USD dollars worth. waitress explained she did not have change, but if I was going to leave a tip, cancel the tip and we would be even. I did not leave the intended tip and left cheated. Will never go back. This was on the street left side going to the main road from the hotel. Poor customer service.

They are excellent and harder then expected. Picnic place is very interesting.
The city itself is an old mining town, but the closeness to nature is an excellent thing.

We only stayed one night at the Camp site but are now at the Biblia Centrum for 2 weeks. Domos is a convenient place to visit a number of places of interest. We will visit Visegrad, Esztergom, Budapest plus there are a number of other local attractions.

Esztergom is not a big city and it gives opportunities for travelers to walk to most of the sights. The importance of the city on the Danube was high and it is rich in history. The seat of the head of the Hungarian Catholic church is in Esztergom and the cathedral is stunningly beautiful with a cafe in the dome part, which provides uncomparable view of the city and the surroundings.
I would visit again if I have opportunity!

With the basilica looming above it, there's a real sense of history about this town. Very filmic atmosphere. Lovely river frontage and great cycleways and walkways. The town square has its own wishing well fountain a la Trevi.
it's close by train to Budpest and definitely worth a weekend or more stay

The town of Tata is a very beautiful, calm, peaceful town. We walked along both lakes and the English Park. The catering offer is okay. It was very interesting to watch the boats and their rowers from the shore of the lake.
