I can’t really express how happy I was with my stay here. The Kristov Wau family were welcoming and helpful, and went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable. Even the family dogs made me feel at home 🐶 The accommodation is an amazing value for the money, and the location can’t be beat if you’re here to surf. And Mama Kristov’s cooking…wow !10/10, would definitely stay here again .

Had an amazing stay at Salty Dog Hostel. The most beautiful sunsets are there and surf is about 20 mins away. Arif is the most genuine and helpful person we have met in Indonesia, and he's surely the coolest guy on Nias! The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We could rent a motor cycle for 100 thousand rupiah for a day. The hotel could provide transportation to airport or harbour at Gunung sitoli. There was a small clean swimming pool in front of our room. Just a walk away to the surfing location. There was a billiard table at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay there.
