Location closed to the skiing area is nr. 1. Nice view over the fjord. Two bathrooms, has a hot tub inside so even if it would be cold and windy you can still relax after the trip down the mountain. Just perfect family vacation.

Just outside of the city, near the water - great locale. Kitchen is separate from your living quarters and basic cooking supplies are provided. Rooms themselves are nice, and offer a comfortable rest from your travels.

It's a big city and the things we did were disappointing.
It's a big city and the things we did were disappointing. Forget the Christmas shop. I was hoping to buy lamb at Hotsel farm. I did buy ice cream but it wasn't special to drive out of town that far. I would have rather spent my time in the city and in the local gardens.

Lots to do and see. Botanical Gardens.
Lots to do and see. Botanical Gardens. Excursions to Dettifoss and Godifoss. The famous church. Forest Lagoon. Many outings available at the harbor. Good selection of restaurants. Purchased breakfast and lunch needs at Kronan, so we could feel free to spend more (and you will) at dinner. We took the 79 bus for a day trip with whale watching and whale museum in Husavik. Download the Hreyfill app, not Hopp, for taxi service. In summer bring eye masks for sleeping! It never got completely dark outside even at midnight and that stray light will get into your sleeping area.

Nice little town with walking access to almost everything.
Nice little town with walking access to almost everything. Many trip excursions were available from the port. However you could tell if a ship had docked. It wasn't too crowded even then, but it did make a difference.
