Chef Leonard & Julius morning Chef made sure that every request was made. Freda the Manager was outstanding. She accommodated our request in full details. Robert also did a great job (waiter). He deserves great recognition. This hotel knows how to bring the Xmas spirit to their guests. Freda deserves a raise!!!

Meru was such a pleasant surprise!

Meru was such a pleasant surprise! The people were incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, which made the whole trip even more memorable. One of my favorite parts was the drive to Timau. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with rolling landscapes and fresh mountain air that made every kilometer worth it. It's definitely a route I'd recommend taking your time to enjoy. I also loved the nightlife. There were plenty of great spots to unwind, enjoy good food and music, and experience the town after dark. Meru has a relaxed but lively atmosphere that makes it easy to have a good time. I can't wait to visit again!

Maua is not a tourist town.

Maua is not a tourist town. Ikweta Safari Camp is about 50min drive toward Meru NP gate from Maua. Main crop is Miraa. Harvested daily. Few western meal options. Eat African. Fruit and veg plentiful, wide variety and cheap. There is a rhino sanctuary in Meru NP, near the Murera NP gate , no extra charge.

Meru is a beautiful destination with stunning landscapes and a rich cultural experience. The scenery is breathtaking, and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s also very clean, making it the perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

Maua, and the nearby Meru park, were an excellent place for...

Maua, and the nearby Meru park, were an excellent place for a 3 night stop on our tour of Kenya. A little out of the way but the ride there through mountains was amazing. Maua as a town is not prosperous but we found friendly helpful people and never felt at risk. We even made a couple of friends who took us to a waterfall. A chance to see real rural Kenya even if we were trying to move through the curiosity of locals who clearly didn't see many people with our skin tone!

Great scenery, hiking activities, wildlife and animal...

Great scenery, hiking activities, wildlife and animal national park and a fantastic getaway. The main roads are all tarmac and in great condition. Off-roads are well graded and Murram layered. I ate at the hotel.
