The accommodations are conveniently located close to Aluksne (5-6 km) and a short walk (1 min) from Aluksne lake. The property is very fascinating, as it appears to be part of a mill with a large abandoned building next to the accommodation. Aluksne lake, which is next to the property, is very beautiful.

A hidden pearl of Latvia and Old Livonia with an island resort in the middle. Despite being almost 200 km from the seashore the city had an inspiring shore holiday feel with a great beach side island in the middle of the city. Great place to learn about the history and the origin of written Latvian language.

Korneti is one of Latvia’s hidden gems and a fantastic destination for nature lovers. Crystal-clear lakes make it an ideal spot for swimming, while the peaceful surroundings are perfect for picnics and relaxing days outdoors. Anglers will appreciate the abundance of lakes in the area, offering plenty of opportunities for fishing. The region is also rich in history, with impressive Iron Age hillforts scattered throughout the landscape, adding a fascinating cultural dimension to any visit. Numerous well-maintained nature trails wind through forests, hills, and lakeshores, providing serene hiking experiences and beautiful views at every turn. For refreshments, the local Korneti shop is a welcome stop, especially on a warm summer day when you can pick up an ice-cold beer. If you're planning an overnight stay, Muuski Glamping comes highly recommended. Set in a tranquil natural setting near the Latvian–Estonian border, it offers a comfortable glamping experience that perfectly complements the area's peaceful atmosphere. Overall, Korneti is an excellent destination for swimming, fishing, hiking, history, and simply escaping into nature. It's one of those places that feels untouched, quiet, and genuinely refreshing.

A very beautiful, well-kept city with many interesting sights and entertainment options for different tastes and ages - castles, sightseeing towers, museums, parks, historical train, a lake, cafes with creative interiors (Pie Martas, Ogle un Tvaiks), etc.

Clean and well kept city. Many historical places of interest. Tourist information provided in hotel lobby useful and practical. Hotel staff knowledgeable to suggest activities and festivals taking place in the city. Restaurants and coffee shops abound.
