This hotel is superlative- tastefully decorated with incredible artifacts and books throughout the hotel
The hotel has a Billiard room, library, cozy seating areas to curl up with a book and a beautifully tended yard with lovely gardens. it is a true gem.
Our room was spacious- we had a balcony with a seating area- elegant linen bedding- bed was super comfortable- quiet at night despite being fairly close to the highway
Meke restaurant is about 750 meters away reached by a path through the woods- wonderful food, staff and location
Sumptuous breakfast with omelet, cheeses, meats, fresh veggies and fruit- delicious.

We stayed in this house with a group of six people, and it was very spacious for all of us. The house is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and there is also equipment for grilling.
The house has a large yard where you can relax or do different activities. There is also a big speaker 😊 The staff was friendly and helpful.
Overall, it is a very nice place to stay, and we really enjoyed our time there. I would definitely recommend it 👍

We were making the trip from Tallinn to Vilnius and needed a place for the night. This was the perfect stop. Just off of the main road, the hotel portion of the property is a short walk from the beach which can also be seen from the spacious balcony of the room. Clean and comfortable with good WIFI, refrigerator and A/C. A good breakfast was included, ordering from the menu. Price was reasonable for the off-season. Parking directly in front of the hotel.

The property was clean and cozy. The access to the sea from the camping was incredibly picturesque! There were plenty of the shared bathrooms which is always comforting and the showers were well kept and tidy.

It is a cute and charming North Vidzeme seaside town just on...
It is a cute and charming North Vidzeme seaside town just on the very border with Estonia. A lot of pine trees, fresh air, sea, historical houses and very few people. Stroll around the town and you will see that almost each stone, house and corner have something to say about the amazing history of Ainazi being the center for the sailor education in the past. The nature there is amazing - a lot of trails to explore. It is easy to reach Ainazi by public transport from Riga and other Vidzeme's towns.
There is a fast-food place and some restaurants / cafes, and several shops.

Very delightful, relaxing elegant and enjoyable. Food is very delicious and presented like a five star restaurant. Sorroundings are very pretty and full of nature, walking paths and benches throughout. Since there is no air conditioning, avoid warm days. It will be hot and uncomfortable on summer days.

It was a beautiful home but not well maintained and owned by bad people, place was dusty! they had some broken stuff, when we got there that they blamed us for by the way! We had to get the police involved because they demanded 4,000.00 euros from us, which they lowered to 1,200,00 euros when they realized we were not going to be fear mongered It was a good start. Then they blamed us for things which did not make any sense. For example, they said we brought a dog, even though it is clearly stated that the place is animal friendly or the small crack on the wall. It was very suspicious that they found that crack very fast. They threatened us with police or we should pay them double the rent amount on spot which we insisted to call the police. I do not recommend them at all. They are scammer. Since they do not get much business, they obviously came up with this business strategy. Since I worked in an insurance company before, I know how these people operate.

A quiet place, close to the Estonian boarder and sea.
A quiet place, close to the Estonian boarder and sea. Out of season you can be the only persons walking along the beach. Good for walking and right on the long distance Baltic Way walking route. Plenty of green spaces to explore. There are two museums to visit the Navel museum and the Fire Brigade museum.

Our stay at Birini Pils was absolutely perfect.
Our stay at Birini Pils was absolutely perfect. We were two families of four, with children ages 4, 8, 9, and 12. Everyone really enjoyed it! Very relaxing to explore the grounds, swim in the lake, rent the paddle boat, eat homemade ice cream at the cafe, and our dinner at the castle was incredible. Everything perfect! The only thing to note is that you should let them know if you have any mobility issues as there can be quite a few stairs, depending on where your room is (I'm not sure if there is an elevator). It can also get hot during the summer and because the castle is old, there is no A/C but fans are provided.
