Host is very nice, welcoming, friendly and exceptionaly polite, room was cozy and comfortable, big comfy bed, everything is super clean, bathroom is spacious with all you need inside, including washing machine. Large, comfortable kitchen with coffee machine and refrigerator and rest area with pool table. Loved the beautiful pink soft bathrobe, will buy myself the same one!:) Thank you!

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this property. The food was outstanding, even better than what I’ve had in many 4 and 5-star hotels in Western Europe. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I didn’t expect such a high-quality experience in a remote city, but this place exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended, will definetely visit again!

What's not to like about this place!? It is just amazing,all the privacy I'd ever wish, beautiful surroundings and river view, clean environment,super friendly people,nice bistro downstairs and even a historic dendrological park in very short distance. My room was comfortable and clean, with an air conditioner and hair styling tools, coffee and a little fridge. The bathroom there was spacious enough and included a bidet which is quite a rare thing in hotels. I stayed there 4 nights because of special circumstances and I found it a very, very pleasant place with all the details though after. My special thanks are going to Kristine and also to Inguna, and all the rest of the kind and friendly personnel. Ah,I almost forgot to tell you,it's pet friendly too and there was a huge garden to walk around with my doggie. Thank you, guys, I'll be back there next time when in Latvia, that's for sure !

Comfy beds, clean rooms, great breakfast option (reasonably priced additionally), has a trampoline for kids in the yard, hospitable hosts. Quite good location if You wish to see some places in Tervete (a few minutes drive with a car to most of the attractions there).

My Dad could not walk up the stairs, so they were kind to accommodate us on a first floor room. Service was excellent with a very nice welcoming feel. Close to the castle region. Bathrooms were very clean and floor was heated.

Great host, it was easy to adjust with her our check-in times. We stayed in yellow cabin "Saule". It was very comfortable to sleep. The smell of freshly cut grass and watching the fog in the meadow nearby - perfect :)

The Bauska castle is fantastic!

The Bauska castle is fantastic! The restoration and collection of artifacts is amazing. Information is available in multiple languages for most of the displays. It is also near the palace at Rundale which is another restored gem.

Unfortunately Jelgava was completely destroyed at the end of WW2. Nothing but 5 or 6 historical buildings left. The city is all soviet built soulless block houses. Very sad and not too interesting for visiting.

Engure is a wonderful place if you’re looking to slow down, disconnect, and focus. The seaside setting is peaceful and inspiring, perfect for working, thinking, or simply recharging. Everything is close enough to be convenient, yet it still feels quiet and untouched. Getting around is easy, and the area is ideal for walks, nature, and calm solo time.

Mežaparks was beautiful.

Mežaparks was beautiful. Pedal boats and kayak boats can be taken onto the lake to roam freely for an hour on a huge, prices are so affordable ranging from €5-10 for one hour depending on which type of boat you choose. The lake is about 6km all the way around, perfect for a long walk or a jog around followed by a swim!! Gaļas Nams food was absolutely lovely, freshly made every day buffet style dining, everything homemade and SO TASTY!! Lots of meats and potato to choose from. Variety of salads and deserts. In the morning they also served pancakes stuffed with meat, cottage cheese or apple. Also highly recommend Lūšu Krogs for portion sizes and delicious cocktails. Their potato pancakes are incred, so are the pork chop/schnitzel type dishes. We ordered a few flavours to try for the table and all were great. The Banana Sour Spritz cocktail tastes like Reece's Pieces!

A wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway! We stayed at this cozy, peaceful campsite and absolute loved it. It’s a fantastic small family business where the owners welcome you with genuine warmth—they are so friendly, helpful, and fun! The cabins are really cute and neat. Yes, the amenities (shower, toilet, and fresh water) are shared and located on the grounds, but for a campsite, that’s completely normal standard practice—everything is clean and convenient. A huge bonus is the BBQ area: the hosts kindly provide a basket of firewood, making for a perfect evening by the fire. And best of all—it’s just 250 meters along a pleasant path to a gorgeous beach! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and acquaintances. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The castle is very interesting to visit.

The castle is very interesting to visit. It has been restorated, but nicely. Good collection of old things and there are the old fashion costumes. Unfortunately the city is crowded with cars driving from Letland to Lithuania , because the route goes through Bauska. To visit Rindales palace just take the bus ( once an hour for 1 euro), it is 15 minutes driving. Please be careful when checking the times yo travel back. Not all departure times are applicable to all days

Interesting castle close to the hotel with good water...

Interesting castle close to the hotel with good water activities offered on the river. Did not use public transport but had a hire car. The streets in general were well maintained and well signposted so that getting around Jelgava by car was easy.

Favorite spot to visit - Engure lake nature park, where you can see wild cows and horses. Very nice beaches in the city with children playground, changing cabins. City center beach has 2 bars. Engure city very quiet, has several cafe/restaurant to choose from, very nice bakery for breakfast or just to grab something with you. Very nice park with statues and playground for kids.

I am biased as it is my favorite place in the world and I was heartbroken to move out. There's nothing flashy about Jekabpils, but great lake Radži, little, cute streets, quiet and peaceful, nice castle with a museum.

I adored the city.

I adored the city. It is a nice mixture of historical sights and nature. The riverside and the island are wonderful and it is really nice to walk in the streets. We came by car and there were a lot of parking places. If you don't wanna walk too much, there are plenty of electric scooters too.
