Value for the money - cant find a better four star property that ticks all the boxes. Location - literally on the porto promenade, resto cafes, shops, pharmacies all around, day trip boats literally harbor right in front of the hotel. Service from the staff specially Svetlana, Josipe and Marije at the front desk as well as the housekeeping staff. Always ready to help and go out of their way to keep guests comfortable. Breakfast buffet and Restaurant - good buffet variety and changes everyday. Excellent service from staff for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well maintained rooms - up to date, well appointed, comfortable beds and centrally air conditioned. Fabulous views of the bay. The property has a lift so ideal for young families and older aged travelers.

As a frequent visitor to Montenegro, I booked this hotel for my mum and dad, it was their wedding anniversary and they coupled it with NYE celebrations in town, and the hotel absolutely exceeded their expectations. Not only was the hotel amazing, new, modern, clean, but all the staff were vibrant, helpful and energetic, and surprised my parents with some special care including a bottle of Prosecco, a cake, a beautiful hand written card and balloons to help make their stay extra special. The room was spacious, linen clean and the bed very comfortable. From their glowing reviews, stories and photos, I will be booking here again!

We had a wonderful stay at hotel Palas. We arrived before check-in with our baby, and the staff made us feel welcome from the very beginning. A kind lady from the bar near reception even brought us croissants from the kitchen after noticing we had missed breakfast. Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful—from the reception team and the chef who prepared food for our baby to the restaurant staff, housekeeping, and porter. The hotel has a great location, beautiful terraces, and lovely areas for walking and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

To be honest, that was one of the best hotels we stayed in ever!! The staff was amazingly kind and always helpful. Our room was super clean and comfortable. The parking was free and spacious. It is placed in a central position and very safe. Breakfast was no less than a shefs breakfast. During the evenings we ate in a nearby restaurant which is called “Gellardo” steakhouse. It is a gem for food lovers.

Budva’s Old Town is beautiful, and it’s a pleasure to walk around its charming streets. The beaches are clean and very enjoyable. Compared to Kotor, the two towns have a similar atmosphere. However, if I were planning the trip again, I might choose to stay in Kotor, as close to the Old Town as possible—or even inside it—for a more unique and memorable experience.

The old part of Kotor is very nice, there are small beaches by the sea with comfortable swimming. However, the city is quite crowded, especially when a large cruise ship docks. The city has a problem with drinking water and salt water flows from the tap. Therefore, we could not have an espresso in many restaurants. Plastic bottles of drinking water are often stored outside in front of shops in direct sunlight.

Wonderful view from balcony and room overlooking the bay, beach & Ulcinj. Owner helpful & friendly. Note can only pay cash (no card facilities) nor street number or signage at the gate. Great having a fridge and shared kitchen. Comfortable bed but there can be noise till 1am from bars as sounds verberate around the town (same for most accommodation in town ). Convenient location to beaches, shops, supermarket, restaurants and sights.. old town, fortress, church, mosques. Everything just a few minutes walk away. Bus station walkable or there are many taxis. Enjoyed my stay 😃

Overall, a nice city for a family summer trip!

Overall, a nice city for a family summer trip! TRAFFIC: no sidewalks on many main roads, people walk on the street. PARKING: no free parking, every parking is full, a « Parking Servis » tow-truck circulates regularly to take away cars that are parked outside of designated areas. BEACHES: public ones are well-maintained, but sun-beds and umbrellas come at an often very high cost. A good place for a family with children is Horizonti Beach (good length of shallow water) PRICES: you shop like in the EU, and coffee capsules and solar creams are twice as expensive as anywhere else in the EU. PORT: upscale area where everything is very expensive (restaurants and boutiques) - go to the outskirts for a budget-friendly environment. BREAD: the country has no wheat, which might be why people don’t know how to bake well - avoid it, if possible

My favorite seaside town.

My favorite seaside town. A truly remarkable place full of history and beauty. It features all types of beaches, so u can choose a different beach every day of your stay. Most of the beaches are rated K1, which is the highest rating in terms of the water cleanliness. You are also effectively in the bay, so you can be much more certain that you will have a calm and warm sea throughout your stay. One of the main reasons I’d strongly recommend visiting the Bay itself is that the regulations regarding wastewater disposal are much stricter than in the rest of the Montenegrin coast. Thanks to proper treatment facilities here, you can be pretty much 100% sure the water is clean.

Unlike many coastal towns in Montenegro, Bar is located in a valley, so most of the city is flat, making it incredibly convenient to get around on foot. You can also use city transport to travel around the town and to nearby coastal towns. Buses run every 15–30 minutes. There is also a central bus station with connections to other towns in Montenegro. Bar has plenty of shops, supermarkets, and a local market. Keep in mind, that prices at the market can sometimes be higher than in supermarkets. I also wouldn't recommend buying pršut at the market. I bought a vacuum-packed one there, but unfortunately it wasn't fresh. The city has many excellent restaurants and cafés. I especially recommend Parapet Pizza & Grill. The excursion and tour options are somewhat limited, but it's easy to take a day trip to Ulcinj or to Old Bar. Šušanj is a wonderful place for a quiet and relaxing holiday!

During our stay, we only met two people we could actually communicate with in English. Overall, the locals seemed rather unfriendly toward foreigners. If you asked someone a question in English, they would confidently reply in Serbian. And if you didn't understand, they would simply repeat the same thing... only louder. 😊 Almost every coastal town has a beautiful historic or waterfront area, but beyond that small section, much of the town feels neglected, dirty, and full of litter. Nearly everywhere you look, there are one or two massive unfinished hotel structures that appear to have been abandoned since around 2008, many now covered in graffiti.

Beautiful small town with some of the most beautiful views I have seen of the Adriatic. I have spent countless summers on the Dalmation Coast and islands surrounding Croatia - Sveti Stefan is on par if not superior in views. There are multiple small shops that are open from 0700-2300 Mon - Sat (all shops apart from one small corner shop will be closed on Sundays). Medusa Beach is excellent along with their hospitable staff. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The Western beached from Sveti Stefan are private which is not something I moraly agree with as I don't belive experinecing nature should have a pricetag. The sunbeds on these beach are priced at over 200 Euros. Medusa beach offers a far more appealing pricetag of 30 to 50 Euros for 2 suneds and an umbrella, depending on which row you are sat on. Hotel California is a must visit for dinner around sunset - the views are second to none and the food is top tier. In summary, Sveti Stefan is an excellent stay for couples and famileis alike.
