Room was small but comfy and had everything you needed. Shower was wonderful. Best part was the amazing staff at both hotel reception and the restaurant. They were so helpful and accommodating our flight delays. Restaurant was great too! Location was close to downtown and major highways.

The apartment had all I needed, the kitchen had essentials. The location is convenient, near the center. I could reach top attractions by feet. The host is just the best. We always had great communication. He arranged a taxi from the airport and whenever I needed, even drove me himself once!

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. We had a good lunch and breakfast was good. The room was big and well appointed very comfortable. We only stayed for one night but would have loved to stay a couple of more days. The terrace has a beautiful garden vieuw. Highly recommended.

Podgorica is a town without much visible history.

Podgorica is a town without much visible history. There are a few interesting (older) buildings, but mainly it seems to be a practical city, the capital of Montenegro with an university and a modern bridge. Situated in a very flat and large plane of the country, which, in summer, is also very hot, surrounded by nearly barren mountains, I was very much looking forward to greener and cooler pieces of the earth. Maybe in autumn, winter or spring it is more pleasant here, but I doubt if I will ever return. In the, mostly rectangular, city grid there are many small shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The food offered is usually of (very) good quality. Vegetarians will have to make some effort to find food of their liking (the traditional food is very meat-oriented in this country), but it is available. Stray dogs are abundant. I have not found any of them aggressive, but they are annoying in that they can pick you out and follow you for hours.

The length of stay was satisfactory in that it was possible to leave the apartment in the afternoon due to an afternoon flight. Proximity to the airport. And we really liked the apartment on the first floor.

We found Podgorica itself rather underwhelming.

We found Podgorica itself rather underwhelming. The city serves its purpose as Montenegro's capital and transport hub, but it offers relatively little for tourists compared to destinations such as Kotor, Budva, Cetinje, or the Skadar Lake area. In our opinion, a few hours to a day is sufficient for most visitors.

It is perfect to plan a trip closer to the mountains and lake skadar. For me two nights was the perfect amount of time. I recommend using kingfisher for lake skadar tour and eating at Grill House Roštiljijada Was the highlight of the stay!

Podgorica was generally a good experience.

Podgorica was generally a good experience. A lot of places were closed because of public holidays, which made the city feel quieter and limited what we could do. Some people in the city could be a little rude, and we also had a few experiences that felt dishonest or like tourist scams, but apart from that, the city was perfectly fine and worth visiting.

It's a really small village down the road.

It's a really small village down the road. Nice views but this is it, do not expect any attractions. It's basically a good spot to stay for the night while travelling in between different Montenegro localisation (for example if you're planning a boat trip over Skadarlake) Vranjina is a good 1-3 night stay for a cheap price with great local food (prices way better than in the nearby Virpazar). I highly recommend Restoran Obala, amazing food, huge portions and friendly staff.
