Wonderful location in Bormla/ Cospicua- easy access to Valletta and Three Cities. Steps away from the ferry and bus stops to other parts of the island. B & B is super clean and comfortable. Wonderful rooftop terrace where breakfast is served. There are steps to climb to reach it! Breakfast is plentiful and delicious- changes everyday. Nele and Tobias are wonderful hosts- so friendly and helpful with great suggestions. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We spent 5 wonderful nights and highly recommend this great B & B. Hope to stay here again on our next visit.

We stayed at BoCo for 7 nights last year and again just recently. We love the fact that it is small, friendly and full of Maltese character and quirky artworks. When we step out if the front door we feel we are in a traditional Maltese neighbourhood, not a noisy, over-developed tourist destination. It is quite simply a wonderful, relaxing hotel and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

I must confess, before arriving I was not knowing much of Cospicua, but now I am completely under its charm. This little town, part of the historic Three Cities, is full of history at every corner — old baroque churches, ancient fortifications, narrow streets that tell stories of centuries of Maltese life. Walking there in the morning, with the local peoples saying "bonjour" — pardon, "good morning" — it felt so authentic, so far of the touristic atmosphere you find in other places. What I appreciated the most is the convenience of everything. There is a 24/7 grocery just some minutes by foot, so we never had to worry if we forgot something at night. And the promenade! It stretches from Bormla all around the Three Cities, all the way to Kalkara, with the harbour on one side and the beautiful old buildings on the other — perfect for a long walk in the evening, watching the boats and the sunset. Being so close to Valletta was also a big plus for us — only a ferry of 10 minutes, very frequent and not expensive, and suddenly you are in the capital with all its culture and monuments. But most of all, it is the Maltese people themselves who made our stay so special. Genuine, warm, always ready to help even with my imperfect English, giving us advices about the best places to eat or visit. Cospicua is, for me, the true heart of authentic Malta.

A very convenient way to travel to Valletta by ferry.

A very convenient way to travel to Valletta by ferry. When in Valletta you take a lift near the ferry station and in a few seconds, you are in Valletta historic center. Its good to go there early. After 10 am its getting hot. We did not explore Birgu Center. But its Promenade is nice and peaceful, as a contrast to a noisy and crowded Valletta. Nice restaurants near promenade.

It is rarely that comfort, style, practicality and friendliness come together into such an attractive package, but Eric, Michael, Nateesh and the lovely breakfast room ladies have created exactly this, presenting an oasis in the quieter part of Valetta . We loved every minute there, from the rooftop breakfasts to the giant, comfortable beds, to the minute attention to detail, such as providing a shoehorn in the wardrobe, daily water to the room, the lift, the brightness of the interior of the staircase and building due to intelligent use of architecture, it was all top class. We hear they are expanding with extra rooms and a rooftop pool, also! In many trips abroad and at home, I have no hesitation in assigning a 5/5 stars to Senglia Suites, and hope to revisit when the work is done. Great work, all, and thanks!

For those seeking an authentic Maltese experience beyond the...

For those seeking an authentic Maltese experience beyond the typical tourist trail, Cospicua (Bormla) is an absolute gem. As one of the historic "Three Cities," it offers a genuinely immersive living experience, far removed from the crowds. You are not just a visitor here; you are a participant in daily Maltese life, where the scent of traditional pastizzi wafts from corner shops and neighbours chat from balconies adorned with vibrant flowers. The city's rich history is palpable. You can walk in the footsteps of the Knights of St John at the magnificent Fort St. Angelo or explore the profound depths of the World War II underground shelters. The awe-inspiring baroque churches, including the Collegiate Church of the Immaculate Conception, are testaments to its enduring heritage. A major highlight is the frequent, scenic ferry boat from Cospicua's waterfront, whisking you directly across the Grand Harbour to the majestic capital, Valletta, in just minutes. The views from the ferry and the iconic Gardjola Gardens are simply breathtaking. Beyond its history, Cospicua's vibrant, modern community, coupled with its charming narrow streets and excellent waterfront restaurants, makes it the perfect base for exploring the region. The feeling of peace and authenticity here is unmatched. For the "real" Malta, steeped in culture, Cospicua is the perfect choice, offering a unique blend of intimacy and grandeur that will leave a lasting impression.

Beautiful quiet area.

Beautiful quiet area. Many historic buildings with plenty to see and do. Enjoy a coffee in the square whilst looking at your surroundings. A tour of the chuch and museums and a stroll down the medieval streets is really worthwhile. Try to local water taxi service - just a few Euro for a ride across the harbour.

Senglea is the least touristy of the 3 cities, you really get a flavour of local Maltese life. But that also means that there's only no Cafe in town (only a Kiosk), no large supermarkets, only village shops that close between 12noon and 4pm. Most sights and prettier streets are in Birgu/Vittorioso - a 20 minute walk from Senglea. However, Senglea has several good restaurants on the water.

Loved the little streets and the marina. It was nice to walk around and look at all the super yachts moored there. The lovely square in the centre has cafes and restaurants as well as small shops and a bus stop. There is also the Malta at War Museum, the Inquisitors palace and the Fort which overlooks Valletta harbour. All worth a visit .
