The layout of the hotel is great: it feels small and intimate but it is very well thought out and has everything you need! They even have a departure lounge, where you can leave your luggage but also take a shower and get ready if you wanna stay at the pool after checking out!
We had a sea view room and it was simply amazing to be able to wake up to the sound of waves. The room was clean and so comfortable.
The restaurants were DELICIOUS. The breakfast has great options including fresh omelettes and french toast, and the TABAJ restaurant offers some delicious mauritian options.
The pool area is great and the pool bar is amazing.
The staff were all extremely kind and helpful, very attentive and caring about their guests.
I honestly could not recommend this place more, we wish we stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Heritage The Villas. The villa was spacious and private, and the resort facilities were excellent — especially the restaurants, golf courses, and overall peaceful atmosphere. Everything was well maintained and the service was outstanding.
We used the golf cart to get around between the villa and the facilities, which was very convenient and fun.

Absolutely beautiful resort. Good was exceptional, all high standard, delicious and fresh. The staff were all really helpful and friendly, several really made an effort to keep our kids happy at meal times too. The spa was very good, one of the best massages and facials I’ve had. All in all we loved it and it was a wonderful family holiday.

We had the apartment 14 upstairs which looked in better condition than the ones downstairs (where my friends were).
Definitely recommend to book the room 14!

We had the opportunity to stay in Emeraude apartment: bedroom with nice ocean view balcony + large open living-room / kitchen with terrace.
There is a second bedroom connected to the living-room, would be an excellent
choice for larger families or coming with friends.

Super authentic! Full of nature, bird sounds and peaceful. Very cozy and the pool was great. Great value for the money. There is the blue bay beach in 5 min walk distance and restaurants around.

It is close to the airport but on the coast.
It is close to the airport but on the coast. It is also close to the Bo Vallon Mall, should you need anything. I needed to buy a sim card and mall did not have a shop to do that, although it advertises Emtel shop as one of the tenants. If it is in the mall, I could not find it and I walked the whole mall twice.

I relocated here for a day to stay closer to the airport, having come from Bel Ombre—a remarkably scenic area that is a must-visit for travellers. However, Bel Ombre has very few restaurants, most of which are expensive and widely scattered, making it challenging without private transport. Without a car, our experience was quite difficult—until we finally rented one.
In contrast, Mahébourg is far more tourist-friendly, offering numerous dining options and a pleasant seaside setting all within walking distance. Surprisingly, the overall costs were considerably cheaper than Bel Ombre

The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista
it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. Every attention to detail had been given with pottery and art it was aesthetically pleasing. provisions were easy to get and at short distance to obtain. what wasn’t evident from its description was its peace and privacy which for us gave the restorative and restful holiday we required.

Blue Bay is very nice place with plenty of guest houses and nice beach. The only draw back is lack of eating joints. There is a nice restaurant which works only for lunch. It closes by late afternoon. You should rent a self drive car to move around in the island.

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel...
There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. However the hotel complex is huge with plenty of facilities so you can easily stay at the complex for a few days if you don’t have a car/don’t want to go exploring.

Mahebourg is a vibrant transport hub. The people are friendly and eager to assist in finding places and any needed information. The market is a must visit. I ate at the market food stalls and at Bo'Valon Mall.

I came in with some reservation due to the wind that was considered to be a problem by other visitors. Some others were ranking the West coast over the East Coast (we were on the East Coast) but after visiting the entire island, we were very happy about our choice.

There are 2 things that stood out for me at Blue Bay, 1st it...
There are 2 things that stood out for me at Blue Bay, 1st it is not touristy, so nice and quite, and close to the airport, ideal if you splitting your trip up on the island. spend a few days here after you reach, only 10 mins from the airport.
2ns is the beach or Bay area is pristine, and you get to speak to the locals.

food options for buffet was good however the room service options ought to have more choice for dietry and enjoyment!
