The lodge has a great vibe! Very private (the Villas)
Especially the beach front is ideal for young kids to swim as there's an old reef wave breaker so the first 30 meters are without huge waves and at low tide this creates a nice warm sea-pool kind of water to play in.
There's a Good restaurant. We've read reviews about waiting time and quality but the 3 times we ate there the food was very tasty and service was prime. Very nice beach vibe. Kids loved it.
Will definitely return!

the location, it is so peaceful, very authentic as we like. a lot of birds around , trees, you can kayak on the lake, swim... even the 30mins dirt road to the lodge is a Lovely adventure. we love it and would come back again when we are in chidenguele.

Really beautiful place and stunning location.
Really beautiful place and stunning location. I was disappointed about the restaurant's location. I expected it to be on top of the sand dunes overlooking the sea but instead it was basically a boat yard behind the dunes. But it was clean, good food and service and I guess if you out there fishing the whole day and park your boat, you are happy just going straight to the bar.
The setting of the houses though is stunning and well done

The location was ideal - about 10 or 12 hous from Jhb or Hoedspruit
The palce is big and a car is essential
Restuartant is good but has soft sand so you have to let your tyres down
Make sure that the accomodation has hot water!!
If you're planning a longer trip, look beyond Mandlakazi Administrative District and explore the whole country!
