Well worth the drive. Not for the faint hearted in places!

Well worth the drive. Not for the faint hearted in places! 4WD required. Police checkpoint at base to check vehicles are roadworthy. It’s a very steep climb & decent. . Off road drives are challenging but the scenery is stunning. Bring snacks/water. Walking shoes. The Historical Al Sukar village is amazing. Challenging drive but worth it. A 500m walk down the trail to the lodges & cafe. And a tough climb back up same so bring water!

The area was spectacularly beautiful. There are a number of well marked hikes as well as more extensive walks, via ferrata, abseiling and cave exploration that require guides. Guides are amazing professionals from the area. We learned so much about the area and eager to return to learn more.

Since my last visit to Dusit 2 years ago, the staff quality and professionalism declined markdly…check in experience was awful with a lady who doesn’t care at all to explain anything and no one joined to show us the rooms and after walking for 10 mins we had to go back to find the right directions…around 8 pm we called the reception and housekeeping line more than 10 times with no answer The guy who was supposed to be in the activities office was away around 2pm and when he came back after a while he was very unfriendly and said I was in my lunch break and this is how it works here

😊We spent 2 nights here as a family and it was a highlight of our trip! The approach via gravel road is no problem with 4x4 and offers wonderful views into the mountains. Behind the new settlement where the families of the former inhabitants of the historic village live, you can park and then it is about a 15-minute walk to cross the wadi, even with a small suspension bridge. Therefore, the approach should be made before sunset if possible. The traditional welcome was very warm and the guided tour through the village really exciting. The rooms are lovingly and stylishly restored with historical building materials and furnished accordingly. It was even more comfortable than we had expected. The quality of the bed linen, towels and bathrooms was visibly high. Everywhere there are resting places with cushions, balconies and terraces with fantastic views of the wadi and the mountains. There was always someone from the host family on site to look after the guests, which led to many interesting conversations. Water, tea and coffee were always available. Breakfast and dinner were included and we were always asked about our wishes in advance. The result was delicious! There are various tours offered by the host, who is also a mountain guide, which are certainly interesting. However, we opted for a nice hike on site, for which there are also many possibilities. If you are looking for peace and relaxation in wonderful nature and traditional surroundings, this is certainly the right place. We will not forget this unique accommodation and will certainly visit again on another trip! ☹ Nothing

It is a nice & cozy property, budget friendly as other options get into the luxury segment & hence are expensive, the views are excellent, rooms are decent(value for money) and food is tasty just that choices are limited, but there are other (food)options nearby the property that are available. Overall if you don't wanna spend on luxury this is a good option as it provides stunning views with decently comfortable rooms.

Jabal Al Khdar is a peaceful, mountainous township with all necessary facilities. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is mandatory—vehicles are checked at the checkpoint. If you arrive in a sedan, you’ll need to leave it below and either take a taxi or rent a 4x4 to reach the top. Ensure your car or SUV is fully maintained, especially the brakes and tires. It’s advisable to book your stay in advance. You can choose to cook in your accommodation or dine at one of the many restaurants available at the top. The area feels like another world—calm, serene, and refreshing. You can breathe fresh air and escape mental stress. The best time to visit is from December to July.
