Great bungalows set around the pool, just off the centre of beautiful Santa Fe in the mountains of Panama. The property has a fully working communal kitchen that we used every night. Yasmin and Ricardo are both very friendly and welcoming.

SC has really changed over the last three years. it has fantastic amenities with great hotels and restaurants together with a world class wave for surfing and world class diving or snorkeling in nearby Coiba. it's also super safe and great for everyone from adventurers, to families, to surfers, to divers, to the curious.

Santiago is NOT a vacation spot.

Santiago is NOT a vacation spot. I had to be there for work and there was absolutely nothing to do outside of my hotel. It was all strip malls and fast food chains and 2-3 hours to the closest beach. That said, the people are very kind and happy, but not much to see or do there.

I liked that the owner upgraded me, because there was no one there to meet me and the room had not been cleaned because the person who usually worked there had been sick for the last week. Disliked · There was no sign by the road, I drove right past it and had to go back and trust the GPS, because there was no way of knowing I was in the right place. I didn't like that there was no one there when I got there and the room was not cleaned and ready for me. It was however made up to me with a room upgrade. I didn't like that they would only way to pay was cash, even though the website SPECIFICALLY said they did NOT take cash.

The hostal is situated just next to the beach. At nights you can walk at the beach and enjoy the fabulous stars. The staff could support me with all my demands and even helped me out with my future travel route. I definitely recommend this place to stay a few days. Is you surf, you must stop by.

I liked it very much but I wouldn't call it an ecotourism place as if you look beside the building up the hill they burn all their garbage cans glass and everything and bury it. Not to eco-friendly but I suppose most of Panama does that if they can. It is very calm and quiet they take dogs and the gardens are beautiful and the pool is beautiful and I wish I owned it myself except for the garbage part haha

Santa Catalina is a nice little town located along the coast and is one of the closest points to visit Coiba for divers and snorkelers. Santa Catalina is a laid back, slow little surf town with friendly locales, many tourists enjoying what it has to offer. It's also growing and you'll find a growing array of restaurant and hotel options.

Plenty to do for everyone's taste: shopping mall (huge one) a stone's throw from the hotel. A short drive from the hotel you have the city center. There are huge possibilities for hiking in nature and visiting national parks. The only drawback is that there is traffic all day long anywhere you go but it is too hot to cycle or walk!

Santa Fe is a low key ordinary village.

Santa Fe is a low key ordinary village. We liked it for its lack of frills. There's a Danish run pizza place and a couple of coffee shops (we didn't go to either just saw them). The rest is normal Panamanian stuff, 2 mini Supermarkets and a few cafes with typical Panamanian food. There are rivers and waterfalls to bathe in but all except one would need a car (or bike) to get to. I'd say it was a one horse town except we saw 3 wandering about! The scenery is fantastic, so many different trees and so many hills. The road to the coast is finished and is lovely and smooth. There's a restaurant at the end of the road for lunch. The road from Santiago gets better as you get along it but takes 1.5 to 2 hours for the 35 miles to Santa Fe

Cari and her husband treated us like royalty.

Cari and her husband treated us like royalty. My wife is celiac and they went the extra-mile so she could eat without any worries to get sick on the trip. Cari made sure all of our details were perfect, and that we had an awesome time on their facility. They loaned us some buggy boards and they kids just loved the experience. Overall, this was a perfect family vacations. Even the kids had their own interesting experience on an nearby island where Cari and husband buried a "treasure" and left the map for the kids. That completed their trip on a very high note! Food was amazing, and they made sure we knew how the different ingredients were gathered. We humbly thank Cari and her husband, because they possess a quality rarely seen in the tourism industry in Panama: They are hospitable and care that the client experience the best time while being hosted. Hope to see you soon again!

Santa Catalina is a nice little town with many tourists, beautiful sunsets, and great restaurants. We went to two restaurants at either end of town. One was Restaurante El Pacífico, which is located on the hiking trail, and the other was Restaurante Oceans Santa Catalina Panama, which is at the end of the road to Playa El Estero. Both were great. Our accommodation was in the middle of town at Casa Maya (also great) and we walked both ways. It was easy to get to Coiba Island, which is a paradise on earth. We went to the island with the Coiba Express Tour, which is at the very end of the road to the ocean. We didn't want to snorkel or dive, we just wanted to relax on the islands. We went to 3 islands (one was just the two of us). The price included lunch, soft drinks, and fruit. It was great, like everything in Santa Catalina.
