The location was excellent. Very near to the beach. The food was excellent. It was a good new year break for us. The indoor pool was awesome. They even offered a free water aerobics class which was fun. Our stay was very comfortable, the facilities were excellent.

Beautiful hotel, everything has been thought out to the detail, amazingly located in Falésia, with pine trees all over and beach 2 min walk with direct access. Very attentive staff and food is simply delicious, breakfast and also dinner. The spa has this zen feeling and staff is super friendly. Albufeira is a vibrant town, full of interesting sights and people. I had lunch at “House of Stew” on Rua Almeda Garrett and can confirm the food quality was so so good and service superb, very welcoming, I enjoyed it so much I went back again for the traditional Fado night..!! Excursions to Benagil very good and a vast array of pristine beaches to choose from…something for everyone. Getting around I used Uber very efficient and cheap..

The old part of town is very pretty, with many restaurants. A great walking path along the cliff tops. Beautiful sea and clean beaches. Large supermarkets like Lidl, Intermarché, etc. Public parking is available, so you can safely leave your car on the street. Seagulls can be noisy at night and in the early morning. A great place for a great vacation with family or friends, I recommend it.

Great beach, the ocean's water is clean and with good temperature to take a lot of baths and swim. Great restaurants, great bars, and I felt very safe by night, we always saw police officers in the street, by night. No problems at all. Locals are kind and we have a great time there. Is the third time in Portimão and we like it a lot!!! Great for families with kids as well.

The city is small, and including time spent in church's and museums, I only needed one or two days to see everything fully, but it was lovely sitting in gardens and coffee shops, enjoying people watching. I also joined a day tour up the coast to see the caves, which was amazing, and a great opportunity to meet other solo travellers.

Look if you are a family, or just a couple this is the place for you. Great rooms, great facilities, great food and bar area, great pool. And the location is perfect to be out of the town but easy to get to by foot or shuttle. Highly recommended.

Beautiful village with lots of shopping and restaurants, ferry to beaches. I wish we could have stayed longer, and I look forward to coming back. An excellent choice over Faro (closest airport). The beach (Ilha de Tavira) was a dream - highly recommend getting a Cabana or sunbed from Pria da Barra - comfortable and away from the crowds. Artefact was our favorite restaurant, followed closely by Bossa. Tavira House is a wonderful place to stay. Very walkable city and ferry to beach is cheap, convenient and easy.

The best part of Alvor is the restaurants, all reasonably priced and superb sea food. It's a small white washed fishing village. We went for a menu of the day at Alvor wine for 14 euros. We had a pate starter and some fresh seabas fillets plus a dessert!

Great area with lots to do.

Great area with lots to do. Family friendly and reasonably cheap to eat out. The beach is lovely and water in crystal clear so bring googles for fish spotting. There is also a beach just down the road - tiny cove that not many know about. Its at the bottom of the look out near Mar de Fora

Quarteira was a good mix of quiet old town and busy modern...

Quarteira was a good mix of quiet old town and busy modern shops. We had wondetful views of the marina from the boat we were staying on. This was the best way to experience Quarteira; relatives in adjacent hotels were extremely jealous. There was a large selection of high end and low cost restaurants within an easy walking distance of the marina.

A lovely area.

A lovely area. We did not get to visit many places like we did last time as our daughter was in a wheelchair. My review of the area is based on last year when we stayed and stayed at a lovely Hotel in the area.
