The location is perfect - inside the Balvanyos resort but in a very quiet place. Dedicated parking places and very pleasant host. There are hotel rooms and wooden cottages for guests, and many separate cozy corners like sitting room, kitchen with everything one might need,, barbecue area, summer terrace and benches all around. We spent only 2 nights there but we truly enjoyed it.

We visited Balvanyos to spend a few quiet, relaxing days...
We visited Balvanyos to spend a few quiet, relaxing days together, and we were truly impressed by one of the most complete SPA facilities we've encountered in Romania. The Forest restaurant exceeded our expectations, offering a refined culinary experience. Our room was clean and charming, though it had one drawback — the lack of air conditioning. Although the fan-coil unit had a cooling option, it didn’t function properly and merely circulated air.
The staff deserves top marks, consistently warm and attentive. Unfortunately, some guests did not match the atmosphere of the resort. Children entered areas reserved for adults, some individuals were seen vaping or using electronic cigarettes, and a few overly exuberant young women created a vibe that felt out of place in a space meant for peace and rejuvenation — causing me, at times, to cut my SPA visits shorter than I would have liked.

Spesiszentgyorgy ( Hungarian) for Sfantu- Gheorghe is a beautiful city in Transylvanian region of Romania. City is quiet with about 70 thousand population. Elisabeth Park is a large open space for activities. Restaurants and Bristow's are good to have the local delicacies.

NOT MANY INFORMATIONS ABOUT CITY OR SORROUDINGS , AT HOTEL OR INDICATORS , WHAT ABOUT MINERAL WATERS , MANY LOCAL RESTAURANTS WITH HUNGARIAN DISH WERE CLOSED . I VERY MUCH RECOMAND IF YOU PASS THROUGH ,,OZUN ,, CITY VISIT ,,HANU PAPRIKA ,, ENJOY SPECIALITIES OF HUGARIAN CUISINE.

Very much liked the property itself, the lake, the walkways, the room. We scheduled a carriage ride with a picnic and it was a great experience. Food was delicious as was the wine and our driver Ionuț a great guide!

It is one of my favorite places.
It is one of my favorite places. The town is small but it has two very good restaurants, a pharmacy museum, an old church and it is very clean and quiet. It is very close to Tusnad Spas, St. Ana lake, Miercurea Ciuc, Brasov, pasul Musat.

Location is amazing, in the middle of the nature, quiet, clean, with everything you need.
Reception staff at check-in was bored, did not smile or welcome us at the property. We needed to ask multiple questions to find out basic information (breakfast time, SPA schedule, etc) all which should have been provided without asking.
Breakfast options are very diverse
Restaurant food is really delicious.
SPA can get really crowded and loud / noisy.

Sadly, 31st of December everything was closed. No attractions to attend, even the most recommended restaurant (Pince / Pivnița / The Cellar) was closed. Șugaș Băi, a close spot to attend was also deserted.

It was an enjoyable trip, beautiful park and surroundings, extremely quiet and dark at night, no TV, complete silence. Beware of cold (rooms are very drafty). Spa was lovely, carriage trip less so. Very good restaurant and friendly staff all over the property.

Not much to do in the city, in my opinion.
Not much to do in the city, in my opinion. We were transiting, so it was ok to spend one night, and walk a bit, however, if we were to spend some more time I don't know what we would have done. Nothing really cool to see, but not a bad transit city.

After reading a lot of negative reviews about this resort we came there with low expectations. As it turned out it was much better than expected! The rooms were right for 4 stars standard, not too big but new and nice. The spa center is just great, one of the best ones I have seen in Romania, also our 4 years old boy enjoyed it. The highlights are a shower with snow and the exterior sauna with a wood/stone oven. The restaurant (Forest) was very nice and the waiters very friendly. Also the breakfast was above our expectations with amazing coffee. The only negative thing to mention was a hamburger that we had for dinner which was one of the worst I have ever eaten. The rest of the food was good and not expensive for a 4 stars hotel. We will come again as the hotel, spa center and location are exceptional, but not for the standard price because that one is definitely too high. From time to time the hotel offers some discounted prices for weekends, then it's worth it to pay around 300 EUR for a double room for 2 nights with breakfast and access to the spa.
