"Beautiful city. Very friendly people, the nature around is beautiful as well as the attractions in the city. Definitely a place to see! For great coffee check out ch9 right in front of Biserica Neagra (the Black Church), for a nice view and very good food visit Sub Tâmpa, and for a location which makes you feel like you are in Italy don’t miss Dei Frati. Weather or not you enjoy hiking I wouldn’t miss a visit of the Tâmpa peak which offers a beautiful view of the city. It can also be reached using the cable car. I would recommend to plan at least 3 full days in Brasov to enjoy the city to it’s fullest."

"Beautiful scenery. Lots of places to eat downtown. Beautiful park in the center, with a playground for kids, huge fountain and several cafes or restaurants. Easy access to Peles Castle, but only one place to eat next to the castle and it's always crowded. Lovely for hiking, walks in nature, telegondola rides (only in the weekends)."

"We went in December (20 to24). Poiana has many hotels where you can stay and enjoy the activities, there are indoor and outdoor activities. I will recommend to check seasons as during those days we stayed many activities were closed as the high season started the 24th. Brasov is 15 min away and Bran 30 min away."

"This was my first trip to Romania and I decided to keep a room in Bucharest while I traveled to Bran for two days thinking I would want to spend more time in Bucharest. However it has been the opposite. I should have stayed an extra day in Bran. Bran is very close to Brasov so you can get there in 30 minutes, even can use Uber. However, I recommend renting a car. You can pick up the car from train station if renting on Expedia as I did. I say spend more time because I got to Brasov and got the car. Parked near the Black Church and walked the square/ plaza area. This was incredible in and of itself. But after eating I headed to Bran and to my hotel (which was great). I could stay in Bran and see that view every day. But the next day I toured the Bran castle and then drove to Pele’s Castle and the Cantacuzino castle. By the time I returned to Bran was 6 pm. Perfect you might say, I saw everything in a day. Wrong. The next morning I got up and walked to the other side of the castle (down the street) and took pictures. I then drove to a place with views of the countryside. I had no time for anything else as I went back to Brasov ate lunch and left on the train back to Bucharest. Would have been better for more time in Brasov but even more so to explore other towns around Bran (within 2 hours) and to drive the Transfagarasan highway which is considered the most beautiful road in the world. (You need 8 hrs round trip to be able to do this drive from Bran so an extra day just for this) Also, white water rafting and hiking the Transylvanian Alps would have been cool. Note in Bran there are a lot of places to eat. Most hotels have a restaurant and then the standalone restaurants (only two of these) can stay open later for a late night drink as well. There are shops to pick up snacks and groceries as well. And there are a ton of souvenir shops outside of the entrance to castle. (Which is just behind a couple of restaurants along the road)"

"Beautiful Bucegi mountains views everywhere! That's why people come here! But you have to put up with bad traffic, especially weekends! It can be a great hub for quick trips around to Sinaia, Predeal, Brasov and of course Bran Castle! Good food to be had, @ La Etaj, Casa Ancutei, Casa Magical!"

Lovely hotel with an amazing location. It's comfortable, clean, with a wonderful breakfast. The trout I ordered at the restaurant was delicious. We also ordered room service the first day we arrived as my husband wasn't feeling well. It came promptly and was delicious as well. The bed was fine, and the shower had plenty of hot water and pressure.

We were there on the 14th of February and everything was perfect. The room is big, clean and cozy, while the spa area is private, you have to book it in advance. The property is secluded and offers a very good vibe. Everything is new and in good taste, boutique style. There was a very nice dinner organized in the restaurant, with great live music by mister Ovidiu. Watch out for Cezara who stepped in together with her son, Vlad, for a few songs and she was amazing 🤩. She works in the hotel so you might be lucky as well! A big thank you to mister Dan, our waiter, who did a great job, he is very attentive and polite!
