C'mon it a boat igloo floating on the clear lake surface around 100 meters away from the coast. It just awesome! Hosts are great people, very wellcoming. Their dinner option is just outstanding - try that reindeer ragu, it's so delicious! And of course getting to your "room" using a pedal catamaran boat is sooooo cool! Go for it. Go for it in winter to see northern lights without anyone disturbing you.

Gallivare is a mining town and in itself not particularly...
Gallivare is a mining town and in itself not particularly interesting for holiday takers but it provides good transport options to several of the national parks in the region.
It is possible to make some nice walks in the immediate vicinity of the town but these alone are not a reason to travel there.
Flying in to Gällivare Lapland Airport and need to rent a car? Book it now to pick it up when you land.
