Location was the best. This is the only hotel in town, this it can command a high price, though there is a lot of room for improvement to match the price. For example, breakfast could offer a healthier version, not just sausage, beans and bacon. Honey would be nice with oats. Some fresh fruit like oranges, bananas, fresh pineapples. With due respect that StHelena is an island and imports everything from South Africa, the hotel could make an effort to freshen up its fruit and vegetables offer. The staff is friendly however, a more agile and attentive service would be expected from one of the Accords Hotels.

The lodge was spacious and very clean. The location was outside of the main town, so we needed a car to get around, but it was very peaceful and quiet. A great place to rest and relax after a day of sightseeing. Debbie and Rich were fabulous hosts and took care of all our needs while we were on the island.

Remote and isolated island full of history and beautiful nature. People are the best asset of St Helena, warm, hospitable, friendly. If you are looking for a safe place to travel, look no further than to St Helena. Jamestown is charming.

We visited Jamestown twice from where we stayed on the uplands at the Banana Tree Lodge. Lovely feel to it, and it was a pleasure to walk around and take some meals at the Harbour Cafe & Anne's Place.
