"Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with."

LithuaniaBeautiful location - the view from the windows is like a fairytale. The room was not very big, but comfy, nicely decorated, clean. Liked the infra-red light near the shower ;). Spa zones are very calming, comfy chairs to relax by the fireplace, three different saunas to choose from, and a beautiful pool with the view. Perfect spot to put your gadgets away and to relax. Read some complaints about the restaurant, well we disagree - the food was delicious, and for the dinner containing 4 meals per person (plus lunch we didn't use) price tag of 50 eur is fair enough. Will definitely recommend this hotel ;)

Best pension in all of the Logarska Dolina! Firstly I have to say that Barbara was an incredible host, she helped us a lot and really made us feel at home.
The room was very clean and quaint, it had everything we needed from comfortable beds to a really good bathroom. It was also quite spacious thus we had plenty of space to put our stuff.
The facilities are really nice. They got a huge terrace and garden with an amazing view over the valley. The pension is located right in the center of the valley. Thus a perfect base for hiking and climbing the surrounding mountains. They also got a campfire spot outside but they only turn it on during the weekends or with special events.
The food here is amazing. We had dinner both nights that we were here and everything was delicious! The ingredients are all locally sourced and they offer many traditional dishes (but also plenty of comfort food). The breakfast was also very good and especially varied, plenty of options.
To conclude, we had an amazing stay at Hisa Ojstrica and I am sure that when I return to the logar valley, I will come back to this pension!

Our host greeted us with genuine warmth, and that friendly welcome set the tone for the whole stay. The chalet itself is a gem – spacious, beautifully furnished, with well equipped kitchen. Our private sauna and jacuzzi became the perfect reward after a day of hiking.
One of the loveliest surprises was the hideaway (smaller room) at the top of the chalet – clearly designed with kids in mind. Ours claimed it as their “kingdom” within minutes and spent hours up there in their own world.
The surroundings are simply breathtaking. We rented a bike to explore the panorama and let the kids roam safely in the open space around the chalet. Just sitting on the terrace, soaking in the mountains and fresh air, felt like the ultimate reward.
We would love to come back again in the future.

Nice cozy, clean and well equiped apartment with beautiful views. Nice place to stay if you want to explore Logar valley and Velika Planina as both are less than 30 min drive away. Friendly host, we even got a welcoming gift. And not to forget cute dog Kala that greeted us every time. The issue with glass door described in some of the comments is now fixed. Definitely recommend staying here.

This is the most magical place we have EVER stayed! After spending three days in the area, we are. Strain that there is no better place to stay! The apartment was perfect and so comfortable! The owner was responsive and helpful and kind! We would stay here forever if we could!

Sonja is a warm and welcoming host, full of helpful tips on what to do and where to go in the area. Her guesthouse is cozy, comfortable, and has everything you need for a great stay. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended!

Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.

The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.
