"We went their by train from Thonburi station (Bangkok) that leaves 2x a day. Vice versa. Approx. 3 hr drive in a wooden interior, good views and only 100 Bht a person. Kanchanaburi is a nice city with a good pick of hotels. Any budget. Good restaurants (nightmarket!). Busy on weekends around the bridge with local tourists. Still interesting to walk the bridge and admire the river. Loved the museum in the city next to the memorial cemetery. It is all about the Death Railway in Kanchanaburi. So first read up a bit or you won't get the drama. Watching the movie 'The Bridge over the River Kwai' in advance is a must to understand where you are going. We rented a car to drive up towards 'Hellfire pass'. Also impressive but understand that this is a walk where you can determine the distance yourself (up to 5 hrs). Very good and modern facilities. In terms of museum, there is little. It is actually an open-air museum where survivors tell their stories through an audioset, while you walk through the jungle on the old railway track through cut outs and passes. Lots of shade. I thought it was super but I am also very interested in these kinds of subjects. There are some good floating restaurants on the river in the city, where you can spend your evenings eating and drinking. Check internet (tripadvisor/Google) to find one you like. Stayed 3 days and 2 nights. Wouldn't stay longer. Unless you want to visit the area (jungle) aroud Nam Tok more. Better to take the train to Nam Tok and stay there."

Quiet location yet not too far from bus terminal and river (Chuk Don Beach is pretty close actually). Found a nice local Thai vegetarian place right around the corner and few cafes and a afternoon market all within short stroll. Place has family vibe with caretakers and children. I liked and made use of kitchen facility, they have washing machine and coffee/tea, shampoo/soap and even thread and needle! So much thought has gone into making stay comfortable.. Initially went for three days but extended it (Kanchaniaburi is cool - though it gets hot during day).

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The staff picked us up and dropped us off at the train train station, free bike rentals, free water, comfy bed, great AC, and good location. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Definitely will be staying here again for my next trip to Kanchanaburi!

I loved the cosy, homely vibe. The room was clean and well put together with fresh, clean linen and a clean bathroom. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and smiley. There is bread for toasting, biscuits, chilled drinking water and coffee available each morning included in the price in the downstairs lobby which was a nice touch we didn’t realise was included when we booked. The reception area is also really nice space. We decided to stay an extra night because we liked the hotel and hadn’t seen everything we wanted to in Kanchanaburi and the process of booking the extra night was super easy.

One of my favorite stays in Thailand in Kanchanburi. It was within close proximity to the Bridge on the River Kwai and the night markets. My son loved the facilities and we love the focus on the children. They have indoor and great outdoor play with a beautiful pool and garden to enjoy. The rooms are airy and beautifully and aesthetically decorated. Loved the little kitchenette with all the tea and coffee facilities and cookies. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kanchanburi. Even the 7/11 is just around the corner.

Easy check in and out. It is a natural peaceful place away from the bustling city. Very relaxing midnight and in the morning. It is such a beautiful place in the morning because the environment is quiet, reflection water, and we can also hear all the varieties of birds making sounds in the morning. You can order Thai food as much as you can before 6pm. Delicious simple breakfast with rice soup. You can request transportation service to Erawan water fall and back to Kanchanaburi bus station. The room/bathroom is clean, bed is comfortable. We get chance to ride the slow rafting to see around the place. Thank you all so much for taking care of their customers as a family.
