"A quiet, peaceful, old historical town, with many beautiful temples to visit..The most famous is the Wat Pra Boromthat. We love a stroll in Rama 9 park, and Princess Grand Mum park (84). There are also many hidden quiet and beautiful beaches to explore around Sichon and Khanom, about an hour and a half drive from Nakhon Si Thammarat. These are quiet places and not as touristy as Phuket, Pattaya, or Samui. Hope they remain hidden forever!"

I love this place because it’s my perfect escape. It’s peaceful, and exactly what I need to recharge. I love the gym, the space to move, and the way it makes me feel stronger every day. This place has everything for me—quiet surroundings, good food, refreshing protein shakes, an ice bath (which is rare around here), a sauna, and a big pool . And last but not least, I can’t forget Zoom and Hyena, the two friendly dogs that always bring a smile to my face. It’s more than just a resort —it’s home.

We normally don’t write reviews, but in this case it is 100% warranted. The Scene is a family-run boutique hotel with just seven rooms, and the family’s generosity and care made our stay truly special. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable with soft beds, modern touches, hot water, and thoughtful extras like snacks and bottled water. Breakfast was outstanding, with both Western and Thai options, plus fresh juice, coffee, and little treats. Drinks were also available at very reasonable prices. What really set this place apart was the warmth of the family—if you allow it, you’ll feel the same bond we did.

We loved the free upgrade from the nice manager lady. Thank you. Use of quiet, lovely, barely developed beach and beachside swimming pool at sister resort 10 mins away. Balcony with sea view. 2 x pools on site both with sea views. Sala with sea view for shelter by large pool. Permanently fixed pier providing direct access by speed-boat to Koh Samui and the Gulf. Restaurant with beautiful sea views. 99% of the staff are a pleasure to deal with. 5 mins drive to nice restaurants and cafes. Big bathrooms with shower and bath with sea view.

Unspoilt so far by construction and development.

Unspoilt so far by construction and development. In 10 years I feel this place will boom with tourism. I love this quiet area. The road is a pleasure to drive on. Modern cafes and restaurants to spoil yourself in. The beach was soft and golden. Transport is required.

It is not near happenings and town, but need to walk a...

It is not near happenings and town, but need to walk a distance. The hotel is rigid for not allowing guests to change from double to twin bed as it sticks to the booking record. The room has no space to add extra bed. We are 70+ old and all double beds are upper floor. we need to claim a flight of stairs, the hotel has no lift. The pool is small and look clean. Breakfast is simple and not much variety. Reception and cafeteria staff are friendly and patient. They cannot converse in English.

This is a great place- sufficiently busy to be interesting, yet peaceful and unspoiled. Lovely clean beaches, plenty of good places to eat, charming people. The night market is brilliant for food and people- watching!

It was our second visit, we came to spend time with our daughter who resides at the university in Nakhon Si Thammarat. On our first visit we explored everything worth seeing so this visit there was very little else to see

Beautiful area.

Beautiful area. Need transport to get around as places are far apart. Not suitable for walking. Very easy to rent a scooter. Khanom is more suitable for tourists than Sichon beach which is very small. Sichon town is great. More restaurants and cafes in Khanon Beach area than Sichon Beach area

Highlight were the temple at Pra mahattat Kopi restaurant...

Highlight were the temple at Pra mahattat Kopi restaurant and a day trip to Khiriwong village. The town is much bigger than appears on the map and it’s really sprawling. It would be impossible to explore on foot and too dangerous to tour on a bike (the driving is pretty scary as there are two long wide straight roads and cars absolutely tank along taking little account of pedestrians). The food here is sensational. Really different to the more familiar Isan cuisine. Lots of herbs and leaves and VERT hot. Rim Ley restaurant in Tha Sala served up some of the finest seafood I’ve ever had. Everything is in Thai but there are pictures to point at. The scenery in the hills nearby is stunning. It’s well worth a long weekend.
