I was at the hotel for one night in mid February and was very happy with my stay. Friendly staff willing to provide directions, recommendations, and help facilitate sightseeing. Clean rooms with solid fan, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Bikes available for rent at a cheap price and located close to both temples and restaurants.

Loved the location - close to a local market and Tuk tuk stand. Grounds are stunning and the staff are kind and helpful. They helped us with organizing transport, massage and laundry. Breakfast was delicious. We booked the four bedroom house for our family and every room was beautiful. We really loved staying here.

I am an insulin dependent diabetic. I forgot my insulin in the refrigerator in my room. The maid saw the insulin, realized its importance to me, and notified the front desk. The woman at the front desk telephoned us immediately. We had driven half way to Bangkok and were unable to return to retrieve my medicine. The woman at the front desk mailed the insulin to our destination hotel. I believe she paid the postage herself. That’s excellent service.

The story of Thailand can not be told without Ayutthaya.

The story of Thailand can not be told without Ayutthaya. The ruins have a solemnity to them that is still palpable and which despite the almost 300 years since they were abandoned, refuse to completely vanish so as to be whispering - do not forget us. We managed to get the ticket that allows to visit the six main archeological sites for which tickets are required. As we stayed for a couple of days it was worth having. It was also helpful our hotel offered bicycles, but it was warm and the traffic was not ideal for cyclist all the time. Overall, it was a great place to visit from the historical and architectural perspective. Every angle was a new photograph waiting to happen, and ever experience was a new memory to not forget. It helped that we visited the Bangkok National Museum beforehand, as they share all the background information needed to appreciate this gem of a city properly.

An exceptionally interesting look into the history of the area. As an engineer, I was facinated with the structures that have withstood the test of time and of course, the destruction caused by the Burmese. Highly recommend the area - do alittle research beforeand and it will enhance your visit.

It really depends on what you want from the visit.

It really depends on what you want from the visit. Yes, the Archaeological zone is definitely world class. But unless you have a detailed interest in the subject, a single temple is sufficient, because they are all virtually the same. It's perfectly fine to go up for a few hours from Bangkok, and then take a minibus (the best way to do it because the minibus station is very 7 minutes walk from the temple remains and you won't get ripped off by the rapacious, untrustworthy, horrible looking tuk tuk drivers outside the railway), or the train back to Bangkok late afternoon. There's really nothing else to do in Ayutthaya at all. I've been visiting for 20 years and it's continuing to decline. Post covid whole streets are still boarded up along the Riverside. It's pretty depressing in daylight.
