The staff were very receptive and respectful, they made sure to attend to my every need. The rooms were spotless, and their dinner and breakfast was superb. The environment is quite calm at all times, aleast for the night I spent and their top of the hill location gives you that atmospheric luxurious feel. A must stay for couples and work travel as well.

From the moment I arrived after booking the same day I had a very wonderful experience. The staff greeted me with big smiles and welcoming conversation and gestures. I was offered some soothing warm tea, which was perfect as I look forward to a restful evening. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the property very attractive and safe and pretty. The breakfast was out of this world with fruit and toast and juice and omelette and coffee that was included in the price. I felt like a queen. I highly recommend if you’re flying into Entebbe or spending time here for other reasons. It is a gem!

The staff was great ! They treatment that I received was exceptional! Elizabeth particularly helped me to solve a few problems that I faced when I arrived at the country, and I am very much grateful for that! The room was very comfy and beautiful. I also had a view of the lake from my window. The breakfast was amazing, too. They always treated me so nicely when it was breakfast time. The view from the terrace is extraordinary! You should watch the sunset! The location is very good. Close to Entebbe airport and Victoria Mall of Entebbe. I definitely recommend this place !!!

Had to pick my wife up from airport late at night the hotel with a small fee took myself and van to pickup there was a delay with immigration but the driver was very helpful it was 2am before we returned to motel and everyone assisted in unloading baggage. Yes All went Well.

What a wonderful stay at the African Roots Guesthouse! We arrived after midnight into Entebbe and they were right there to pick us up at the airport. We found it a wonderful peaceful place to spend and extra night after a very long flight. Charity was so warm and welcoming! Breakfast and dinner were amazing! Rooms were delightful and very clean. They even drove us into Entebbe town for a bit of shopping and lunch. Please stay if you arrive in Entebbe late and looking for a nice respite before beginning your Uganda safari.

Such a lovely hotel with a lake and a park full of playful monkeys. The glamping tent are very comfortable with all the needed amenities. Shared bathroom and showers are very clean. The restaurant serves delicious food and even offer a packed breakfast if you have an early flight back. The staff was absolutely amazing, kind and very professional

Great and peaceful location with an amazing view. A great place to escape Kampala for a staycation while still being in Kampala. The rooms are well appointed with a mix of an artsy and rustic vibe. The beds are comfortable. They are great loungers to relax by the pool side.

If you are used to going shopping in the malls, or if it makes you feel safe then Victoria Mall is the place. But the prices in that big Carre four supermarket were not cheap, it was kind of on a high side. I discovered that smaller supermarkets had better favourable prices. Carre four in Victoria mall is just fancy! The wildlife center is a conveniet place to visit especially if you don't have time and money to travel all the way to the parks. Aero beach ambience was quite good and relaxing. We ate fish and chips and tried the jetskie ride.

Fabulous little town with lots to offer.

Fabulous little town with lots to offer. I HIGHLY recommend doing the behind the scenes at the Uganda Wildlife Conservatory/Zoo, it was incredible and absolutely worth the $70! Victoria Mall has most of your needs, the little outdoor shop is pretty good and had some good sales. CJ's is an East African staple place to eat with nice ambiance and stellar customer service. There is an incredible spa call Bravado Spa and I highly recommend the Luxury day package at only $100 it was 6 hours of pure bliss. The bodas are all good and fair with pricing so don't be afraid to use them.

It is a nice, clean and friendly city that offers a completely different experience to Kampala. Safety is good, there are eateries that one can access and get affordable meals. Beach activities abound, and the general landscape is beautiful.
