The hotel was remarkably clean. The staff took excellent care of us there, and went wayyyy above and beyond our expectations. The suite was very well laid out and spacious and the fact that it was a smaller hotel was nice. I dont think I could of found anything negative to say about this place if I tried. This is going to be our hotel for now on when we visit Emerald Isle.

The staff was very helpful, in particular Mary Anne who gave me two excellent tips, one how to rebook a cancelled outing with another provider and another on where to find a replacement suitcase for the one that broke. The room was big and still cozy, nicely decorated and made me feel right at home. Loved the fact that breakfast is brought to your room when you request it. Didn't use the lounge, though it looked really perfect to relax in.

Beautiful sound view when you take a walk out back to the gazebo. Within walking distance to restaurants. Also, close to where we wanted to visit - Beaufort and Fort Macon. This is a condo hotel so each suite is different depending on the owner. Our suite was well stocked, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Just what we needed for our 2 night stay. Easy check-in, 24 hour front desk - in my opinion, better value than an Airbnb.

Personally I was very pleased when I saw they offered makeup wipes along with lotions and all self care needs...the elevators were functional and the room was very clean with all the kitchen necessities... Toaster, dishwasher, oven, full functional fridge, etc. The balcony was very nice and the covered pool did not disappoint. Overall a wonderful experience and would totally recommend for anyone even with kids looking for maximum comfort.

This was the best spot we could’ve picked for our first bed and breakfast experience. We’d never done the B&B thing before, and now we’ve got a new favorite to add to our list. Already told my parents it’s the best place to stay in Beaufort. Everything’s within walking distance—restaurants, shops, the ferry. The place was super well maintained. I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend, and they had a cheese board, wine, and flowers waiting in the room. They also had a nice wine selection on site. Breakfast was amazing—definitely didn’t leave hungry. Coffee was always available, plus a great variety of teas. The staff gave great recommendations on what to check out around town. It had this peaceful, tucked-away feel but was still just minutes from downtown. Overall, just a really relaxing and memorable stay.

This place is an absolute gem! Friendliest staff I have encountered in the U.S. in years. Christina’s (Property Manager) communication before and during our stay was extremely helpful. Whenever we needed something for our room she responded quickly and kindly. The overall property exceeded all of our expectations and we will gladly stay again if we are remotely close by.

For the price this was an excellent motel. Hard to find fault. They even provide proper crockery and metal utensils, very rare in motel land. Good parking and friendly helpful staff. (One of which helped me find the fridge and microwave...)!

Our favorite spot to eat was at the park that was next to the hotel. There we picnic tables and grills. We brought food and cook on the grill. I was the best. One evening there was even a local band that played. That was a nice added bonus. We took a boat ride to Shakleford Island to see the horses and get some shells. The grand kids enjoyed the boat ride but was not impressed with having to walk so much to see a horse. We also drove to Epic Mysteries and did the escape room and that was a lot of fun. My husband and I most favorite thing is to lay in the hammocks in the evening and watch the moon come up and listen to the ocean. So relaxing.

Cutd little town, some of the stores weren't open since I was there off season but I did find some shops and antique shops to wander in.I didn't do any of the museums or historical houses but that is an option. I would have liked to go to the Rachael Carson nature preserve as well.I mostly wanted to go to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout,a short ferry ride away.

Morehead city is more of a natural beach.

Morehead city is more of a natural beach. It isn't the touristy/boardwalk beach like others. It is getting very built up and the traffic is getting worse. It has great fishing and the beaches are beautiful. You can find lots of great restaurants to check out. The people are very friendly.

Location is great! They do allow pets.

Location is great! They do allow pets. The cost per room is not worth the price. There was a true bug problem as our room was riddled with flies and spiders. We booked a suite and were told we were in a suite and it was a standard hotel room. If that's a suite I wonder what their rendition of a standard room must be like. When presented with a confirmation that showed I had booked a "true suite", of which the hotel has 2, I was told Booking.com made an error and there was no suite available for our stay. However, I never got a rate change for my standard hotel room instead of a suite. Very unprofessional manager when our difficulty was addressed; though the daily staff was pleasant.

The room and bed were comfy, with a balcony to relax on watching the sound and animals outside. Pat makes exceptional breakfast with fancy bread and fresh fruit daily! It's only 30min to fort Macon beach, and 10 from ferry for Harkers Island and Shackleford Banks where you can see wild horses! The home is away from town and very quiet, don't come if you hate driving 20-30min for supper.

Restaurant closed. Nothing for breakfast.... got sick on McDonalds sandwich. Stayed on 6th floor and saw tons and tons of all sizes of dolphins, some jumping out of the water. Enjoyed from room! VERY close to shore. Not much open January 6th, 2026. Hostess not very friendly. Saw NO ONE else.

If you want to unplug & unwind then Harker's Island is it! This place is remote and quiet... however can get to necessities. Not much on Harker's Island itself for food except couple places & they are decent. The Dollar General is best value for supplies. Small beach access just as you cross bridge to Island. Otherwise you have to go to surrounding towns that take about 30 min for food, shopping & beaches...

First time staying on Emerald Isle. Wonderful experience.

First time staying on Emerald Isle. Wonderful experience. Staff was amazing. We stayed three nights - off season. Price was very reasonable. Weather was great. We took advantage of all their amenities. We rode bikes/tried the hammocks/signed out their fantastic wood beach chairs/enjoyed the oceanfront beach location/outdoor shower to wash sand off before going back to hotel/very quiet location. Drove the entire Ialand. Beautiful point area. Ate at restaurant recommendations. Favorites 4 J’s coffee shop and general store (homemade bagels/desserts/coffee from Costa Rica - fresh ground- Joseph is the gentleman/owner on premises serving. Flipperz - close by 4 J’s great for dinner!!! Will go again to both - favorites!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
