I liked all the Christmas decorations. It really put me in the holiday spirit. Mostly, it was a very clean room which was exceptional and the Dove products were a bonus! Great hamburger too!

Ship Bottom, and LBI in general, is a lovely vacation spot.

Ship Bottom, and LBI in general, is a lovely vacation spot. There is an amusement park and waterpark nearby in Beach Haven, along with a cute shopping area. Lots and lots of great restaurants. Shore Good Donuts make each donut to order. Unbeleiveable. Bagels and Beyond is another great breakfast spot. Don't miss the sunsets on the bay side. Beaches are clean and wide. Expensive, but a great place to bring the family for summer vacation.

The rooms were clean but the floors weren’t.

The rooms were clean but the floors weren’t. It seems like they don’t clean the floors. My feet were so dirty because l was walking barefoot in the room. That is the only complaint that l have . The everyone that works there are very nice and friend. My first time staying there also 2023.

LBI is gorgeous.

LBI is gorgeous. If you go after the season, the national park at the south end of the island opens after September and is truly stellar. The beaches along the island are beautiful, as is Beach Haven. The restaurants are OK to good.

The water was especially blue, it was beautiful. The beaches are so clean. We had no issues with the restaurants we chose for dinner, staff was attentive. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

We toured the whole island.

We toured the whole island. I think the island is 18 miles from Barnegat Lighthouse on the North shore to Holgate at the South end. On days with fine weather, all you have are blue skies, sea gulls and endless ocean views. We did shells/ rocks in Holgate, then bird sanctuary, Light House and Lunch at Kubels on the North. Great fun, and a fabulous, ( but pricey) hotel LBI. We would go again .

Great beach, park for free and leave the car to shop, dine...

Great beach, park for free and leave the car to shop, dine and beach all walking distance. You can also easily rent bikes and ride to other areas of Long Beach Island. Also very safe. Teens can explore and have a little freedom. Police patrol all day and curfew at night.

Lots of construction in front of our motel.

Lots of construction in front of our motel. Seemed dangerous crossing the street. Our motel said they provided beach chairs and umbrellas but they Don’t have umbrellas, the manager said the island doesn’t want them giving out umbrellas any more, due to injuries. But people also need shade. We rented umbrellas from Ron Jon. Walking 3 blocks with a giant umbrella through construction on a 97 degree day was really a pain. We would have brought our own from home.
