Fredericksburg is a great destination whether you're passing through or planning a Hill Country vacation. There's great choices for eating, (adult) drinking, and live entertainment. Shopping along Main Street is a wonderful assortment of shops to keep you occupied for more than a few days! For history buffs, there are numerous sites to visit and learn, not the least of which is the National Museum of the Pacific War (WWII). For wine aficionados, you're in Heaven. Smack dab in the middle of Texas wine country. Oh, and there are a number of outstanding breweries and distilleries, if wine is not your "thing". If you've never been, you need to plan a visit!

The hike to the pool was alright, but the pool was not beautiful at all. There was no waterfall, it has been drought season for 4 years. A little leary of getting into water that is not flowing. Very disappointed!

This place is beautiful and clean!

This place is beautiful and clean! Great private place to get away and relax. Half hour away from any type of store and no immediate neighbors. Everything you might need is provided by the hosts. Comfortable furniture and bedding. Excellent view from the deck. Beautifully decorated but had to clear many items so we had places to cook, eat, and just hang out. People with mobility issues may find it challenging to get around.

We have stayed in small places before and felt uncomfortable, but this place was oddly comfortable and just right. We are both very short. You may feel differently if you are tall, but I don't see why you would feel uncomfortable.

This was a flawless weekend getaway.

This was a flawless weekend getaway. The cottage was spacious, clean and private. The view was outstanding, Paul was easy to deal with. It is a breath taking vacation spot in the Hill Country. It's close enough to town for nightlife but far enough out for privacy. The cottage was built for comfort, from the tall ceilings to the very spacious bedroom. Clean linens, clean bathroom and clean kitchen. After talking to Paul you can tell He and his wife take great pride in offering these spectacular cottages to the public. I really do not have a single complaint about this property.

Main street was great and busy with people.

Main street was great and busy with people. The shops were full of interesting things. The restaurants were amazing. The live music was wonderful. The Wildseed Farm was amazing. The Cross Mountain climb worth the view. The pottery ranch was so much fun.....The Catholic Church is one of the painted churches and so beautiful. The people are very nice. Go to Luckenbach Texas and listen to the live music. Great time! Don't forget to visit the Post Office there, such cool stuff.

Make sure you find the actual "Dripping Springs" for which the town is named. It's next to Clara's cabin on Mercer Street. Very cool. We enjoyed the shops on Mercer and Pedernales Falls State Park. We ate at Homespun Kitchen, which was good but quite pricey. We stayed at The Alexander at Creek Road, which was incredible.

Gated property with beautiful cabins for rent.

Gated property with beautiful cabins for rent. Just far enough out of town, about 6 miles. It is easy to find, on main highway. We stayed at the back of the property. Has a good rood all the way to the property, no pot holes. Other properties are far enough part, you have privacy. Has an outside shower for rinsing off after getting out of hot tub, ++. Breath taking beautiful view. Definately worth the $. Great accommodations!

The bed was okay and the pillows were comfortable.

The bed was okay and the pillows were comfortable. We asked for an additional pillow and did not get one. The free breakfast was non existent. We had to go out to eat for all of our meals which was VERY expensive. If we hadn' paid in advance non refundabe we would have left sooner. My recomendation is don't ever book at this hotel.
