I truly enjoyed my stay at the Caravelle Hotel on St. Croix. It is my go-to hotel for accommodations whenever I travel to St. Croix for work. The hotel provides a quiet comfortable environment for rest and relaxation. My stay was exceptional, and room was spacious, it had a desk and other amenities but, I like that I was able to sit at a desk to get some additional office work completed. Notably, there is a restaurant on the property, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, I did not get to dine at the restaurant during my stay but, I have eaten at the restaurant during in the past. The food is great, and they have great menu options. Lastly, the Caravelle staff is professional, helpful, and informative especially the front desk agents. I was a little worried about getting stuck on the island because Hurricane Erin was traveling and expected to come near the Virgin Islands. The front desk agent, Aisha, however, assured me that the hotel was equipped to provide any necessary essentials, safety, care, and continued electricity so that guests are cared for and comfortable during a storm, if required. She certainly made me feel at ease, fortunately I made it home before the weather came.

Location is not good during seaweed months.

Location is not good during seaweed months. Beach on property is unusable. Coki Beach was not as described in reviews. Resort was fine. Loved the upper pool, view was fabulous. A few nights is more than enough. Taxi rides get expensive if you go off property to eat.

Visiting St. Thomas was a wonderful experience. The island itself is beautiful and full of friendly people. The Island is something you have to see, mountains and beaches! You will find breath taking views around every corner. After a few days in St. Thomas you'll fall in love with the island.

People are friendly in their own way. This is a beautiful island. The ferry is right downtown so if you want to travel to another island it is very easy. The food is fantastic. Bring cash for taxis. Enjoy the calm and beauty of St. Thomas. Very worth the trip.

Chritiansted is very walkable. Be sure to walk beyond the normal touristy boardwalk. Check the hours for the National Park Service Fort Christiansvaern. If you like fabric, check out Divi Divi fabrics for the authentic St. Croix plaid.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance. You really don't even hear the planes takeoff. The hotel is older so don't expect the grays and golds that are in right now. More grandma's house style. The staff is great. The pool is small but has a great view. The bar area also has a restaurant. The price is affordable and you could not even have to leave.

That place has some nice waterfeont areas, good shopping and entertainment options. The food is so pricey and poor service in some continental restaurants makes it awful. Rude people are quiet common. The place is in decline. Better travel to Europe or Asia where hospitality has a different meaning.

St Croix was the right choice for us.

St Croix was the right choice for us. We were looking for an island that was not overly developed and touristy. The locals were friendly, the island and beaches were beautiful. However, if you plan to go, be prepared as the roads were in very poor condition. I would recommend renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
