Nothing, it was really bad. The room and the common areas were very dirty. The pool was overgrown with algae and not maintained. The food was full of flies.

We had such a great experience at Varandas Beach Hotel that we initially booked 3 nights and ended up extending our stay for another 3 — we simply didn’t want to leave! The atmosphere here is amazing, especially on weekdays when there are fewer guests. It almost feels like a cozy boutique hotel — quiet, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was delicious every day, and the overall quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. There’s a great variety of dishes, everything we tried was fresh and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable for lunch or dinner. One unique and pleasant surprise was the swimming pool filled with seawater — something we don’t often see, and it added a special touch to the experience. We also appreciated the themed evenings — for example, one night they set up a projector and played movies for kids. It made the place feel even more family-friendly and thoughtful. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options for both kids and adults. But the true highlight is the beach! It’s wide, clean, with soft sand and incredibly clear water. You can even rent little quads to ride along the beach. During low tide, natural pools form with warm, calm water – perfect for little children to splash around safely. Honestly, this has been the best beach we’ve seen in the last two weeks of traveling. It’s a perfect spot for families or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We would definitely love to return one day!

Super cozy, comfortable and nice Pousada! Spacious bedroom and bathroom, great pool just in front of the room. It is also very near the most beautiful beaches of Caponga and Aguas Belas, with fine white sands and clear and warm ocean water. But the highest point is the service from Sara, Jose Carlos and Emilia. They will treat you like a friend and be always available to help in any way. They also provide restaurant service with delicious meals ranging from simple day to day to sophisticated seafood dishes. My wife and I loved it immensely and will certainly come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t have been happier. From the very first moment, we were welcomed so warmly - including a glass of pink champagne - which immediately made us feel special. As a lovely surprise, we even received an upgrade to a sea-view room, and it was simply stunning. The entire property, including the rooms, is beautifully designed: stylish, modern, and extremely well thought-out. Every room is equipped with smart TVs with accounts for all streaming platforms, the kitchens have everything you need, and the overall concept of the accommodation is incredibly cohesive. There is great music playing throughout the day, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times. The owner himself was also incredibly kind and made sure all our requests were taken care of immediately, which really made a difference. And a special mention for the breakfast: you can choose it yourself the day before, and it is then delivered to your private balcony at your preferred time. such a beautiful and relaxed way to start the day. One of the nicest stays we’ve ever had. A big thank you to the entire team, we will definitely be back.
