Located on the Beetszee with its extensive lawns, mature trees, and its own small beach and Swans, it’s peaceful and calm. It was perfectly located for my participation in the Worlds Masters Rowing races on the same lake. It is located at one end of the 2 km rowing course just away from the hustle and bustle of the regatta. The food is served buffet style, breakfast and dinner, and is very reasonably priced. Some of the dinner dishes -which changed nightly- reminded me of my German-American grandmother’s cooking. The whole presentation is a lot like an Iowa church supper with generous portions of wholesome delicious food for canoeists, bikers and walkers.

Our room was exceptionally clean. Parking is included in the price. The fitness room is well equipped and very clean. All hotel and restaurant staff were super friendly and very professional. We really liked the food at the restaurant. We ended up paying for the buffet breakfast and it was really good. The area where the hotel is located is really quite surrounded by the lake and the nature.

The restaurant in the hotel is good. The room was clean. The hotel is located in the center. I live in the hotel just because of the place (the abbey).

The kitchen was very well equipped, however there is quite little space to prepare food. It has a dish washer of okayish quality. The bathroom is big, has a window and a good washing machine with drying options. There is no closet, only shelves to put clothes. The beds are comfortable and other furniture are nice. There is usually public parking space free of charge available in front of the building. It's located across a school but windows are insulated and I was not disturbed by outside noise. People in the building are nice. Liv was always very kind and reactive, and tried to fix all problems immediately. Pets are welcome and even two cats were no problem.
