Unique location in a small town surrounded by local makers and restaurants. Our room was comfortable, and the waterwheel was right outside our window which provided the perfect noise to fall asleep to. Breakfasts are outstanding. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We were a little too early in the season to see the alpaca, but by chance we booked our stay for the weekend of Ruukkipäivä, with a craft fair, demonstrations, and presentations (in Finnish) set up around the grounds. Very cool!

A good location for a stress-free stay in Teijo, Kirjakkalan Ruukkikylä is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.
