CanadaThe location. Frangky, his wife and Eda made the stay comfortable. The food was excellent (I really miss the fish) and everyone was very kind. There is usually chicken or fish but you can request vegetarian/vegan options. The beds were comfortable and the mosquito nets worked well (though I didn't notice many mosquitos). The location is excellent as snorkeling by the nearby beaches is great. You can see turtles basically every time you go. The nights are quiet and you can sleep with just a fan. If you need AC that is available as well.
Frangky also offers trips and the dolphin trip was a good choice.

United StatesIf you are coming here for snorkeling, Pangalisan beach and the area in front of Bunaken cafe n resto is the best and easiest shore-entry snorkel I have found. It's a 15 minute walk. The area directly in front of the homestay is not well-suited for snorkeling due to boat traffic and currents. It's so good that I'm coming back again.

United StatesWe spent three unforgettable days at this little island paradise. Even during the monsoon season the weather was kind to us, allowing us to explore what may be one of the most spectacular marine parks in the world. The resort’s location is simply perfect — vibrant coral reefs begin just a short swim from the beach. Put on your snorkel and within minutes you may find yourself swimming alongside green sea turtles and countless tropical fish.
The resort has a wonderfully intimate feel, and true to its name it may well be the best place on the island to watch the sunrise. An almost spiritual experience.
What makes this place exceptional, however, is the people. Ernie and her team — especially Novi — embody Indonesian hospitality at its very best: warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They even arranged our transport from Manado Airport and later onward to Tomohon, making our travels effortless.
During our stay we also had the chance to explore the nearby village and witness the simple rhythm of island life — fishermen heading out to sea, children playing soccer, neighbors gathering on their porches for evening prayers. A simple life, yet a deeply content one.
Leaving was not easy. We truly left a piece of our hearts here — and we hope to return one day.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. So are all common areas so you can take a break from Manado heat at NDC. The pool do the job, you can actually do some swimming workout here. Location is close to Manado, so if you are looking for remote naturę close resort and a white beach choose something else. BUT there is really nice garden and a jetty overloocking the sea, wirh great sunset views. To sum up, 8-9, for the special price we had at booking.com.

Amazing resort for diving and other activities. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean and have large windows, which gives the feeling to be in the middle of nature.
The diving equipment, boat and guides are great and allow for excellent diving experience. However, don't miss to do the activities as well. The local guides are really nice people and can tell a lot about the local life and things to see on the tours. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The resort was amazing, services were well priced and enjoyable, food and drink was delicious! And all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We throughly enjoyed our stay at cocotinos and we will be back!

we love the quietness of this remotely located resort! The swimming pool, garden and the jetty are nice...
The staff are kind and helpful.
The bathroom is unique and the room is big enough for our family of 3 people. They set the sofa into a bed for our teenage boy and he loves it! :)

The dive staff were highly professional - we decided not todice at another resort due to their professionalism so we were really pleased and had a high degree of confidence

This is neither a luxury or a budget resort. It is a very good middle ground resort and that is their business niche which is important in that there are several very expensive resorts at one end of the resort spectrum and home stays at the other end. This is positioned right in the middle and perfect for divers that want to experience coral and muck diving. Their motto is leave as a friend and they meet that goal. Staff are great.

Very friendly and helpful team of people in the resort, from reception to the diving team. We had a great time staying at Thalassa resort. The place is very relaxed, and the food is delicious and fresh. We also really enjoyed our diving and day trip with the resort. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff both on the resort and diving center were extremely helpful, and provided a professional service with a smile. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and in good condition. The garden, restaurant, pool area... everything works well. The diving in the area is as good as it gets. Even snorkling you can get really close to the marine life.
